Overview

Brinnon House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Limit 6 person per reservation)

The perfect waterfront home on Hood Canal awaits your visit. You will be blown away by the view you'll see of the beautiful canal through floor to ceiling windows when you walk in the front door and look past the kitchen to the living room and the water beyond. Come, sit by the fireplace and just relax, while enjoying watching eagles fly by or sea lions and seals and an occasional whale frolic in the water. Or perhaps you’d rather set out to scuba dive for octopus just 150 yards from the house, swim, hike, mountain bike, stroll the beach, fish, and crabbing just in front of the house. At the end of your day, grab some marshmallows and roast them in our fire pit, just a couple feet from the edge of the water and also enjoying a beautiful sunset while cozying up to the fire.

The kitchen includes a breakfast bar and dining area. It opens into the dining room and living room where we promise you will never get tired of the incredible view of the water. Sunrises are gorgeous and sitting out on one of the two oversized decks at night looking at the full moon’s reflection on the water is a great way to relax at the end of your day.

The living room has a fireplace and plenty of space for family gatherings and activities. Downstairs in the first floor is a ping pong table, air hockey, 2 person shooting basketball game, Gamecube, darts, and kids can have their own space for games, and plenty of room to store your fishing poles, crab trap or treasures you find on the beach.

Our kitchen is fully stocked and our dining area with a table that seats six, or enjoy eating outside on

one of our two decks while enjoying the view.

If you prefer to not cook, The Halfway House nearby is famous for excellent home cooking and homemade pies. Esquire magazine recently chose the nearby Geoduck Restaurant and Tavern #2 for “Best Bar in America,” and Pleasant Harbor Marina, just up the road, offers superb pizza and sandwiches.

The home offers four bedrooms, two upstairs and one on the main floor, and two full baths. One bedroom has a Queen-sized bed with night tables, a dresser and closet. Another has two bunk beds and a closet, the third has a queen bed and armoire, the fourth bedroom has a full size bed.

Bring your fishing poles and check out the many rivers that flow into Hood Canal.

Nearby Dosewallips State Park, with acres of clams and oysters and geoduck, is also a great place to beach comb at low tide. Brinnon is a hiker’s paradise and there are spectacular trails and breathtaking waterfalls in Brinnon or in the nearby Olympic National Park. Or check out the great mountain biking trails. Divers can see several species of rockfish, octopus and all sorts of crabs in one of the best diving locations in the Northwest, and diving gear can be rented close by. A little further down the road is Mount Walker. A short drive up the mountain at the scenic view area, you will be blown away by the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountain range and turn your head back east and see the City of Seattle skyline. According to our guests, our house on the edge of the Olympic National Park is an ideal location as a base for their adventures to explore the park. Olympic National Park covers 922,651 acres of three distinct habitat zones, the alpine region, the coastline and the temperate rain forest. At 1,441 square miles, the park is larger than Rhode Island(1,214 square miles). In 1976, the park was named an International Biosphere Reserve by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, the park was made a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Convention.

Come to our home on Hood Canal and make memories that will last you a lifetime!

Best family vacation we've ever had!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home. There were 6 in our group including 2 kids ages 7 & 9. Our stay was a full 5 days. We kayaked (2 provided at the house with lots of life vests in all sizes). We ate more oysters straight out of the water that we ever thought we could've found. ( I suggest buying an oyster shucking tool before you try this) .

We used the fire place in the house and fire pit outside. The kids made good use of the ping pong tables, air hockey, and the huge selection of movies in the evenings. We used the kitchen a lot, we brought all our own food & paper products. The house is stocked with spices, pots, pans, serving and mixing bowls, and eating utensils. There was also, soap for dishes and hand soap in every bathroom, paper towels, toilet paper, bath and hand towels were all stocked as well.

We had a slight issue with running out of hot water and a toilet that overflowed but those issues were easily over looked.

We took the ferry to Seattle and that was loads of fun, we walked pikes place market and went to the Seattle city center. Then did port Townsend which was an adorable little town.

The owner was wonderful, calling before we got there and had a bottle of wine and two wine glasses waiting for us as well as water bottles and snacks.

I would recommend this house in a heart beat. Our only regret is not coming during fishing season, but that may not matter to some. We are literally on our way to the airport and so sad about leaving.

Spectacular Views!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed a 3 night stay at this Brinnon WA property with spectacular views!

The location was wonderful and although we came during and especially heavy rain event, we still managed to hike back to some lovely waterfalls about a mile or so from the halfway house – a well-known coffee shop in the area. It was absolutely lovely at the falls and we were able to take some amazing photographs. Additionally, we were able to drive into Port Townsend, which is only about an hour away, for a fun walk around town and a nice meal.

The owner, Lou, was really wonderful to deal with and was available to answer any questions I had prior to the trip and also during.

I was slightly disappointed with the condition of the appliances in the kitchen, but everything worked properly and we were able to prepare a couple of nice meals during our stay there.

The view from the property is truly stunning. I was mesmerized looking out at the canal and wish that we've been able to stay at least another week.

WONDERFUL STAY!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this house before in the past and we loved the incredible views of the water from the house, and the owner of the property was delightful and very accommodating like before. After arriving to the house, we were even happier to find that a few things in the house had been upgraded. The house has tvs and blu ray players in every room. On one of the days of our stay the weather was not good so we relaxed and stayed inside. The house has an area for games now, so we didn't have to worry to find things to do at the house -- and there were hundreds of movies in the movie library. We enjoyed hiking nearby and Dosewallops State Park where there is a huge tide land. After the hike and we came back to the house and really enjoy exploring with the kayaks provided, which we didn't have use the last time we stayed at the house. It was a wonderful time for us.

The house was amazing, and Lou was so helpful during our stay. He called to give us recommendations and information about the area before our stay. The house had everything we needed and more. I would definitely stay here again!

3 Perfect Days

  • 5 of 5

We were 4 Couples looking for a place to stay after attending an afternoon wedding. The 3 day minimum stay almost ruled this location out, but we all agreed to do some sightseeing after the wedding. We couldn't have made a better decision. The weather was perfect as were the accommodations. Owner interaction was also the best we have ever encountered.

Otters and more!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a long weekend stay at this gorgeous home on the water on hood canal. Never thought I would want to swim in the Puget sound, but the water is just a few steps away, and on a warm day, it is delightful. Went sea kayaking every day, and hung out near some otters (not sure what you call a group of otters... maybe a kindergarten?). Fresh oysters and clams are available just down the road at the Hamma Hamma store (we decided to leave the oysters near the house to live for another day).

The house is wonderful, has everything you need and more, and the view is absolutely beautiful out its huge front windows and off the two decks. The owners were lovely, they even called to let us know we could get in early as they knew we wanted to be able to freshen up and watch the Seahawks game.

Our only complaint is that we were still there! Phenomenal.
