Susan is a practicing Psychotherapist who originally grew up in Brooklyn. George is a Vintner. They live on their organic vineyard and winery property in California. They travel to New York several times a year for both business and pleasure. They love the cultural life of New York and the visits they are able to make with family and friends.
Susan Feinbloom purchased this condo in 2012
We chose Greenpoint because of its open, airy neighborhood feel and its proximity to Manhattan. This property provides a quiet sanctuary and easy accessibility to the abundant cultural activities of the City. We have been staying in Greenpoint for the past several years during our visits and have decided to have a place of our own.
Greenpoint/Williamsburg is a newly discovered treasure of artistic creativity. It is full of Neighborhood cafes and some of our favorite restaurants. The nearby McCarren Park has farmers markets, volleyball, jogging tracks, Cafes, act. East River State park is a beautiful place to watch the skyline of Manhattan at dusk as is the Water Ferry Pier which is three blocks away form our apartments.
The 'Garden' our favorite Organic Grocery Store is three blocks away on Manhattan Ave. When we need to rent a car we can do so at the Enterprise Car Rental, also three blocks away.
Very nice condo! Clean, comfortable and 'homey' feel. Convenient to shops, restaurants and transportation. It was nice to park our car and explore the city otherwise. Susan was prompt with communication and very easy to work with. Thanks for a great stay!
My husband and I came for a visit to our son who lives in Greenpoint. The apartment had everything that we needed, was very comfortable, clean, and all communication went very well. Highly recommend.
My husband and I came for four days to visit our Brooklyn daughters. This apartment was lovely, clean, and comfortable. It was generally well equipped, and had a good instruction guide. Communication with the landlord was smooth. The neighborhood is nice and relatively quiet. There were plenty of shops and cafés and there was easy access to the metro. The off-street parking was a bonus, as we travelled by car from out of state.
There were two drawbacks (not enough to remove stars though): some of the kitchen cabinets, the fridge, and the bathroom cabinets contained lots of products. I assumed they were not for our use, but they made it inconvenient for us to store our foodstuff and toiletries. Also, we felt a little constrained when three people joined us for dinner. While there was plenty of food prep gear, there was not enough serving ware.
Despite these minor issues, I would rebook in a heartbeat.
This was my second stay in this condo and I have already booked my next stay for later this year. Comfortable, quiet, and a great location. What more can I say!
I rented this Greenpoint condo for 5 nights and it was the perfect place to stay - beautifully furnished, comfortable, well-equipped for cooking in and in a great location for eating out. The heated bathroom floor was a very welcome touch when coming in from the winter cold or waking up in the morning! Susan was so helpful with questions before my stay. Its location on a quiet side street (but a short walk to the subway and a quick trip into Manhattan) made it nicely located for exploring Brooklyn too. I look forward to returning in warmer weather to take advantage of the lovely patio!
Great location, beautiful and comfortable decor. A perfect getaway spot so close to all the action of NYC. Well appointed, soothing interior. Outside a great neighborhood to discover. Take the ferry to Manhattan or go on a Newtown Creek nature walk. Great parking included.
We are located about a 20 minute drive from the Brooklyn Academy of Music. They have concerts, Dance recitals, unique movies. We are within a mile of McCarren park with volley ball, jogging tracks, farmers market, picnic areas.
Manhattan is a 10 minute water taxi away. You can access museums, theater, restaurants and every kind of local and ethnic culture.
