Our vacation rental is in a beautiful new condominium building. It is a luxury, light filled, floor to ceiling windows, apartment with one bedroom, living room, galley kitchen, full bathroom. It is on the 3rd floor of an elevator building in a quiet neighborhood,with no steps to carry luggage. There is a video intercom by the door, garbage shoots on each floor. The construction is solid insuring quiet in each apartment. There is a reserved covered parking space under the building for anyone renting a car. Floors are solid oak hardwood.
The bedroom has beautiful cherry wood furniture, a queen size bed, plush linens, blankets, 2 end tables, tiffany lamps, a dresser and walk in closet.
All new luxury appliances in the Full Galley Kitchen.Full stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen is supplied with a premium set of stainless steel pots and pans, dishes, bowls, silverware, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder and coffee and tea for you.
There is a Bosch clothes washer and dryer in its own closet.
The bathroom has a deep Jacuzzi soaking tub for your deep relaxation. There are plenty of plush towels provided.
The living room has a luxurious Natuzzi Italian leather queen size convertible sofa and overstuffed chair. There is a flat screen TV, DVD, cable and internet. There is original art decorating the walls. Adjacent to the living room is a balcony with 2 chairs to relax, have tea or eat your dinner.
Condominium is 1 block from the G train and 4 blocks from the water taxi which is a direct line to Manhattan in 15 minutes (see photo).
My favorite Organic grocery (The Garden) is 3 blocks away. The intersecting street has supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, coffee houses and small shops for all of your needs.
Enterprise rent-a-car is just a few blocks away.
Greenpoint / Williamsburg is an undiscovered treasure of artistic creativity.
We are a mid size walk to McCarren park where there is a jogging track, volleyball, picnic areas and a local Farmers market for fresh just picked vegetables.
You can see the skyline of Manhattan from the East river State Park which is at the end of the street of our favorite restaurant, Aurora.
Greenpoint is considered one of the top neighborhoods in New York.
Our condo is an oasis of peace and quiet at the doorsteps of Manhattan.
Susan is a practicing Psychotherapist who originally grew up in Brooklyn. George is a Vintner. They live on their organic vineyard and winery property in California. They travel to New York several times a year for both business and pleasure. They love the cultural life of New York and the visits they are able to make with family and friends.
We chose Greenpoint because of its open, airy neighborhood feel and its proximity to Manhattan. This property provides a quiet sanctuary and easy accessibility to the abundant cultural activities of the City. We have been staying in Greenpoint for the past several years during our visits and have decided to have a place of our own.
Greenpoint/Williamsburg is a newly discovered treasure of artistic creativity. It is full of Neighborhood cafes and some of our favorite restaurants. The nearby McCarren Park has farmers markets, volleyball, jogging tracks, Cafes, act. East River State park is a beautiful place to watch the skyline of Manhattan at dusk as is the Water Ferry Pier which is three blocks away form our apartments.
The 'Garden' our favorite Organic Grocery Store is three blocks away on Manhattan Ave. When we need to rent a car we can do so at the Enterprise Car Rental, also three blocks away.
We are located about a 20 minute drive from the Brooklyn Academy of Music. They have concerts, Dance recitals, unique movies. We are within a mile of McCarren park with volley ball, jogging tracks, farmers market, picnic areas.
Manhattan is a 10 minute water taxi away. You can access museums, theater, restaurants and every kind of local and ethnic culture.
