SIMPLE PAYMENT POLICY–For bookings made longer than 14 days prior to the check in date, 1/2 of the balance to be paid upon reservation by credit card. Remaining balance to be charged to credit card on file on the second monday prior to arrival. Other arrangements considered upon request. Payment of the first half of rental amount for the rental period as indicated will secure this reservation.

Fees And Taxes

All of our properties are cleaned and maintained by The Clean Getaways, who specialize in Vacation Rentals. We do charge the full cleaning fee of $125 on all stays of 3 nights or less. If you stay 4-nights, then we cover half the cleaning fee ($65).
We also charge the 15% state and city hotel tax, unless you're military or staying longer than 30 days.

CANCELLATION POLICY – You can cancel outside of 30 days prior to your arrival date and receive a FULL 100% refund of your reservation deposit. If you cancel inside 30 days (90 days for major festivals), you will be refunded 25% of your reservation amount. Once we have charged your full balance on the second monday prior to your arrival you are responsible for the full amount should you cancel.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes:

Jessie’s Place is probably our best location of any house we have! It is by far the perfect middle ground between Zilker Park and downtown Austin! Located in a beautifully hidden neighborhood just a half mile south of Lady Bird Lake, Jessie’s Place is perfect for a family get-away. The back yard is serene, private, and gorgeous. It backs up to a creek, and features lovely patio space and covered lounge areas. There’s also a nice big propane grill! There is a nice long driveway that can park up to 4 cars off the street. However we try to keep it at 2 so we don’t disturb the neighbors. There is central heat and air, full cable TV, and wireless internet. The kitchen is fully furnished and there’s plenty of linens and extra towels if you need them!

My friends and I stayed at Jessie's place during March. The house was clean and spacious and in an ideal location - walkable (30mins) to downtown with a choice of getting a bus or taxi if needed. Also pretty close to South Congress.

There was plenty of space and a great garden to hang out in after the weather improved.

All in all it was a great place to stay.

We had another great stay! This is the perfect house for our family. Close to everything we love, big enough for 5 adults and the occasional visitor. Great people to rent from, we were even able to bring our pets. The place is always clean and has lots of charm. This is our go to place when in Austin. Also, the next door neighbors were as cute as they could be with their new little kids running around. Great neighborhood, people out walking dogs, young families. And so close to Zilker.

We rented the house for my sister's bachelorette party. We couldn't get over how cute the house was! Every girl not only had a comfortable place to sleep, but plenty of room for everyone's stuff. Tons of closet space! The layout and sectional couch was perfect for sitting around and talking. Although if it had been warmer, we probably would have spent all our time on the back patio. The pictures don't do the yard justice.
Otherwise, the house was just as described online, and I would certainly recommend the property to a friend or visit again. It was simple to drive or get cabs downtown, but also close enough to grocery stores, restaurants or anything else you would need.

Weekend getaway to Austin was fabulous at Jessie's Place. We very comfortably slept 6 adults, a baby and a large dog. The house was quiet, clean and located in a great neighborhood. Everything in the listing description was accurate and we found the home to be better than expected. There are area trails that made Zilker Park destination a very easy walk. Well worth the price-much better than a hotel. No complaints and will definitely revisit! We found Vacation Cake Properties well run, trustworthy and easy to deal with.

The only complaint I have about our stay is that it's over!
My wife and I were traveling with her parents who had never been to Austin (poor folks!). We found the house itself perfect for our needs - sitting on the porch, walking of a morning, keeping up with laundry, etc. And the location was perfect in its proximity to Zilker, shopping, MoPac, and IH-35.
Taking our little day trips and local jaunts it felt like we were "home" when we got back to the house.
