Spence Manor used to be Nashville's only 5 star hotel and would commonly attract the likes of U.S. Presidents and musical legends including Elvis, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Willie Nelson and more during its years as a premiere hotel.

The location is literally the best in Nashville and the building's history, along with the famous guitar shaped pool, sealed the deal for me!
Nashville is known as America's friendliest city and in this location you will see why! Plenty of places all around you to meet people and experience the local culture. Situated right on the roundabout, you will always be able to find a cab or walk if you choose to. The building is secure with coded access so you will always feel safe during your stay.
The broken window that a previous reviewer mentioned was still broken when we arrived. There was a note left that a replacement window had been ordered. Not huge deal, I guess. The bed was really comfortable, but my husband and I noticed we kind of rolled to the middle a bit. My husband looked under the bed the morning we left and noticed the middle brace was broken. There were only 2 washcloths, 4 towels. Texted Christina and she responded very quickly. A box of kleenex would have been nice. We all had allergies and needed to use the toilet tissue instead. This wouldn't have been a big deal, but there was only 1 extra roll of toliet tissue (kind of stingy). Place seemed clean enough until we discovered the moldy coffee grounds that had been left in the coffee maker when we went to make coffee in the morning - gross! Really awesome location - not a bad walk at all to downtown (or a pretty cheap Uber ride).
First off I have to say this is a very good location. Easy walking distance for most to downtown. We walked down to the Bridgestone arena one evening for a concert, and this was very convenient, as parking would have been difficult. You have to use valet parking for many places in downtown and it's a real pain. My next compliment to this place is the bed! It was very comfortable. You will love it!
I wanted to give this place more stars but it just started to disappoint over the three days we were there. The hallway in the building smelled so bad, I mean really stunk. The building was dirty, the parking was difficult. Inside the apartment we went for a glass and not only were the glasses dirty, so was the silverware and all over the apartment was dusty and grimey. Not a wine glass to be found, or a substitute, ran out of toilet paper, no Kleenex or soap for the shower. Really? The fridge door didn't close properly, and the window was broken and we had this hissing sound from outside the whole time. Very annoying. Barely any choice of channels on the t.v. Seemed like this owner went cheap on everything and doesn't take care of her place. Furniture was very beat up, torn in places, run down.
We emailed her day one and never heard back from her. Zero communication until we tried to leave. We forgot the lock code for the door and wanted to leave.. Not a word until after we had already left. And even then no apology for her non-communication. Wonder if we had been locked out by accident???
Overall, we just tried to overlook things and have a good time, but if you have low expectations and want a convenient location, this is the place for you!
We spent 4 nights here and we had a great time. Good bars and restaurants close by. Down town is a 15 minute walk or a 7 dollar uber ride. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you like to go out and have a good time this place is perfect
Perfectly located to be able to walk downtown. Easy to drive to off the interstate. Plenty of room for the five of us. Will try to rent again the next time we are in town. Great price compared to staying in hotels etc. Area seemed extremely safe especially walking home from downtown late at night.
I stayed from London for 5 weeks and had a wonderful experience. The flat was clean, tidy, and although I did not meet Christina she was always accessible on the other end of the phone. The refrigerator door really is hard to close and there was no plug for the bathtub but that is easily fixable from any hardware store. And now..on to the BED.....THAT BED IS SO COMFORTABLE YOU WILL NOT WANT TO GET OUT OF IT. EVER. FORGET SIGHTSEEING. STAY IN BED! I wanted to take it back to London with me! I met a few of the neighbours and they were sweet and helpful and the area was safe and convenient. I am not sure about how the air conditioner worked I tried it but it never got really cold so would ask about that when booking for summer months but overall I have to give Christina and her flat a 5 star review. I hope she hosts me back next year! Carrie Bell, London,England.
I reserved this condo with 3 of my friends and we were pleasantly surprised. As every other review says, the location is great. You are in walking distance to everything in midtown and a short cab ride to downtown, we used the lfyt app and it never took more then 5 minutes to get picked up and it was super cheap. It was very clean and comfortable. There are pots/pans if you want to do your own cooking, we didn't use them because there is too much good food to try in Nashville. I would definitely stay here again.
You are in the best location in Nashville! More than 20 restaurants and bars are within 2 blocks of you. Right across the street, there is a neighborhood pub with good drinks and friendly people! Two blocks down is Patterson House, a speakeasy that was featured in Food and Wine Magazine. Above that, there is The Catbird Seat. Reservation only 9-12 course prix fixe tasting menu that changes daily and was recently recognized by the James Beard Foundation! You can walk everywhere from here...to Predators games, Titans games, all the Honky Tonk bars on Broadway, and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
