Down the stairs from the loft is the main living area with a Great Room with living, dining, and kitchen areas. The Great Room has a 22 foot vaulted ceiling with windows from floor to ceiling and wall to wall offering spectacular views of the lake, mountains, and frequent eagles and ospreys. The Great Room has a gas fireplace, big screen TV, and rustic wood floors. At night you can lay on either of the two couches and look up at the star filled Idaho sky.
Notice the reclaimed wood beams from the Farragut Naval Training Center in Bayview on the south end of the lake where over 300,000 sailors were trained during World War II, and the handrail posts from a sawmill in Priest River on the other end of the lake.
The Dining area and Kitchen connect to the living area and have the same views. The Kitchen and breakfast bar have granite countertops, and the Kitchen has a large refrigerator-freezer, double ovens, a microwave, ceramic stove top, double drawer, pull-out dishwasher, garbage compactor, hickory cabinets, and a walk-in pantry. The Powder Room off of dining area is a convenient rest stop when relaxing or entertaining in the Great Room.
The Master Bedroom Suite is also on the main living level and has a king sized bed with view of the lake, double doors opening to the main deck, a bathroom with granite countertops, a granite topped vanity, and a large walk in closet with dresser.
The main deck is nearly 1000 square feet in size and is accessed from double doors of off either the Master Bedroom Suite or the Great Room. The deck has a propane barbeque, outdoor table, chairs, and loungers. The Laundry Room with front loading Maytag washer and dryer connects to Master Bedroom Suite closet and has a laundry chute from the Guest Master Bedroom above.
Down the stairs on the next level there are two large bedrooms with built in dressers and queen sized beds (one standard mattress and one air bed), a bathroom, a Recreation Room, and a Media Room. This level also has double doors opening onto its own deck. The Rec Room has a large bar topped with the same rustic flooring as the Great Room and having a sink with garbage disposal, dishwasher, ice machine, beverage refrigerator, and kegerator (unstocked). The Rec Room also has an 8 foot pool table. The Rec Room has 4 picture windows, so you’re never without a view. The Media Room has a 62 inch TV, stereo system, and adjustable lighting for perfect viewing. Limited book, magazine, CD, and movie selections are provided. The sectional couch in the Media Room contains a double sized hide-a-bed. There is also an extra, double sized air bed that can be used in the many open areas from the loft to the outside decks (very fun).
The shoreline is accessed by stairs from the Rec Room. At the shoreline is a large dock with mooring whips and a manual Shore Station boat lift. The boat lift is suitable for “ski” boat sized boats. It easily accommodates the owner’s 20.5 foot, 2500 pound, in-board/out-board boat. A boat is not provided, but you are welcome to use the lift. The mooring whips can accommodate much larger boats, and there is also a mooring buoy for larger boats or sailboats with keels. A Nordik, 'Zodiac' type, rubber raft with oars is provided and makes an excellent dingy for accessing boats moored on the buoy or just playing in the lake.
The private shoreline is 200 feet in length, 100 feet of which is developed. There is a screen covered fire pit and a 7’ x 7’ x 7’ shed with a refrigerator and port-a-potty. Outdoor chairs and tables and firewood are also provided. There are excellent wading and swimming areas with lake gravel bottoms and a ladder from the lake onto the dock. Fishing off of the dock is very good, primarily for small mouth bass and perch.
The loft level of the house sits 80 feet above the lake. This creates awe inspiring views. It is common to look down at the top of the head of a bald eagle as it flies by or fishes, and these eagles often sit in trees just off of the deck levels. However, this elevation change also requires stairs both within the house and to access the lake. The staircase from the lake to the house climbs 50 feet. Going down is easy, but the landings and rest areas are often welcome on the way up. Guests are cautioned that stairs are an integral part of this property.
