This beautiful house is located in Central Kihei just a 5 minute walk to Charley Young Beach or Kalama Beach Park right across the street! Location is dynamic; walking distance to just about everything you need: grocery stores, restaurants, night light, gift shops, coffee houses, surf lessons and kayak, snorkel, bike, surf board rentals just to name a few.
Hale Kipa is a 3 bedroom 2 bath single level home with hardwood floors, travertine bathrooms and air-conditioning and ceiling fans through out. Large drive way and wrapped around deck provides a secluded out door space for dining and BBQing.

There were 11 adults and 3 young children and we rented both homes. Unless you want the owner/caretaker to decide how enjoyable your stay will be I would not recommend this property. They controlled our air conditioner temp and if and when it would run. They outright lied about it being a mechanical issue when in fact it was a money saving tactic by the owner. The cleaning fee is another money grab as we spent too much time the first couple days cleaning and washing dishes that were unclean.
Our family stayed for a week at this house, it was a great vacation. House was fantastic, the only problems we encountered was the air conditioning wasn't that great, the owner controls your temperature from his house, we asked to have temp lower, nothing seemed to happen, we opened more windows and were ok. The parking is super unhandy if you have more than one car. You have to back up almost a block in reverse trying to miss large rocks planted very close to the narrow drive. We were only given one clicker for the gate at the end so unless the person with the clicker is there you can't park at house and it's a long way to carry stuff. Other than that it was fun, very close to good fun at night and short walk to beach.
Our family of 8 adults and 4 children (2 four year olds, a two year old, a one year old) stayed at 392277 and 601939 for 10 days. We had a marvelous time. The properties were perfect for a family with little children as the children could play outside and on the veranda very safely. The houses are down a long driveway, so no danger from the street. The houses were basically clean and well kept. Although both properties were advertised as having a pool, only one did have a pool(601939). This was no problem because we could all share the wonderful backyard and pool. There was no pool alarm, as promised, but the set-up was such that we could have an adult attend the children at all times when they were near the pool. The properties are an easy 10 minute walk from a wonderful children's playground and the beach. A further 10 minute walk to Cove Park was a small but perfect beach for the little children and a paddle board rental across the street made if possible for the adults to play in the surf while the kids played on the beach. Grocery store was also a 10 minute walk away and gave a discount to anyone who had a phone number from outside Hawaii. The only real negative about the properties was that the air conditioning did not work most of the time, and the bedrooms were very warm which made sleeping difficult. We would return to this property.
We had 2 families, 13 in all, attending a wedding. Excellent for our needs. Secure parking. Friendly property manager lives very close. He was very accommodating and very helpful.
We had a great time in this place. I would definitely stay there again. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach and grocery store, and when we didn't feel like being on the sand, the pool was a great place to stay cool.
The home we rented was fabulous. The bedrooms had lots of room, the kitchen had everything you needed and the landlord was awesome. He was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be they didn't leave us a broom to clean the floors and for hired cleaning staff I think they did a quick surface clean. The tubs and showers didn't seem cleaned.
The best part was it was centred in the most perfect location! There was a huge park just down the road. All beaches were walking distance. All the good restaurants and shopping were right there! If you want good freshly caught fish go to pupu lounge And grill! And for a delicious breakfast you must try out kehei cafe sooooo good.
It's area was definitely meant for a travelling family. Beaches were fairly calm and you had access to everything nearby. There was also a local grocery store a block away which came in handy for cooking meals! The prices seemed about as good as driving to Costco which everyone suggested us to do. But the local grocery store had great sales and you didn't have the hassle of large lines and too many people.
I would recommend this place to anyone!
