This stylish property is steps from the beach, beach volleyball courts and the world famous leash-free Dog Beach! Several award winning restaurants are only a short walk away (within 1 block). There is a high-end organic grocery store just 4 blocks from this property. There are also wonderful wine bars, pubs and boutique shops within 3 blocks. The main street of Ocean Beach is Newport Avenue which is also a short walk from this property. Many famous restaurants featured on Food Network are along Newport Avenue as well as access to the famous Ocean Beach Fishing Pier. SeaWorld is less than one mile from your rental and you can watch the fireworks shot from SeaWorld from your deck every night during the summer season. Ocean Beach and your rental is ideally located and just a few minutes from all attractions!

This property is one side of a 3-story duplex. The entire building is available as well. Simply see our other listing. The yard is completely fenced and immaculately landscaped. There is off-street parking at the back of the property and a shed filled with recreational items for you to enjoy (ie. boogie boards, bikes, surfboards, etc.) The property has 2 bedrooms on the first floor and a full bathroom. In addition, there is a front loading washer and dryer for your convenience. The second floor boasts a large open floor plan with a half bath and a full kitchen including eat-in island. You can watch the waves crash while cooking dinner or sitting at the island drinking a glass of wine. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and 42' flat screen TV with DVD player and VCR, all of which add to the vacation feel!

From the living room you can step out onto your private ocean view deck and relax on your deep seated patio furniture or grill up the perfect BBQ dinner on your gas grill! Sea World provides a wonderful fireworks show every night throughout the summer which can be seen from you deck. Finally, you can retire in the top bedroom where you can lay in bed and hear the ocean play you a lullaby while watching the waves roll in from your 'bird's nest view' windows. Open them up to smell the ocean and the beach bonfires! It's the perfect vacation potpourri!

Great Vacation Beach Home

The home was a great find. I based my selection on the reviews and saw that this home was a great price for the location. I definitely loved it here.

Pros: The home was clean, basically across the street from the beach, came with extra amenities for the kids (bikes, beach toys, etc.), and close to other Ocean Beach restaurants and attractions.

Cons: The downside would be it's a little tight to fit the full 12 people capacity but is manageable. Also, the unit next to us was not occupied when we were there so it was nice to have our own privacy, but it can get a little louder if the unit next to was occupied since they are connected units.

Overall: I would recommend this place since it was nice for the 12 people we had staying there. It was a tight fit but not too troublesome since we found ways to make it work. Stay here if you want to bring a family with kids or have a group that wants to be close to beach for a good price.

Great location!

This property was perfect for our group of 30 to 60 something age women! We all slept comfortably, cooked in the well stocked (pots and pans) kitchen, loved the deck and view. We did a lot of walking and rode the bikes that were supplied by the owner. We found the appliances easy to use and were very grateful for the washing machine. The toilets needed help to stop running and the refrigerator rarely quit running, but I'm sure they took care of it by now. Nothing to call and complain about. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with knee problems because you can't avoid the stairs but we all managed just fine! I would recommend this place to friends and would stay there again.

My friends and I very much enjoy the duplex, not fancy but clean and comfortable. 2 blocks from the beach, right near the dog park. We spent most of the time just enjoying the sun on the deck but did make it down to the beach a couple of time to enjoy a game a volleyball and a swim.

Great for the proximity to the beach

We had a great family vacation at Point Loma. However, the accommodations were pretty tight with 8 people. I think 12, as is listed on the ad, would mean at least 3 or 4 on the floor. The oven was difficult to use because of poor heat distribution. Apart from those minor issues we had a great time just being together in what I would call a beach bungalow... kind of damp and worn and sandy, but otherwise fine.

Nice clean house right by beach

We stayed here for 4 nights. The house is simple and clean, and is in a great location one block from Ocean Beach. We had a couple of issues with the house - heating wasn't working and the shower curtain was missing. The owners were responsive and fixed these, but these are both very basic amenities that should have been in place at the start of the rental. The neighborhood is rather bohemian and there are a couple of great restaurants (bo beau and the 3rd corner) within walking distance. Overall 3.5 stars, but if heating etc was working from the start would be 4 stars.
