Fantastic apartment
This is a spacious, lovely, immaculate apartment in a charming older building with a top notch renovation, equipped with anything you could need, including a coffee machine, washing machine, high speed wifi and cable tv in the living room (but you will need to be fluent in Italian). Linens and towels were high quality and clean; the mattresses were firm and very comfortable on all of the beds.The landlord made himself available to questions, and was helpful with recommendations for restaurants and markets, coffee places, etc. He even supplied a three plug converter without hesitation when we asked him to suggest where we could purchase one. The configuration of the apartment is perfect, with all three bedrooms all on the second level. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but is just a few blocks from the Duomo, easily walkable to most attractions, but not more than a ten minute cab ride to practically anywhere in town.There is a bus stop on the corner,but we stuck to taxis and foot power. There are several banks (two with cash machines) a block away, a pharmacy, small bodega and a large supermarket with an excellent bread and pastry counter, fresh cheese, fruit and produce just a couple of blocks further. An excellent choice for your stay in Florence!
