Our upstate cottage, “Deer Run,” is located five minutes outside of Woodstock, NY and Saugerties, NY. Only 90 minutes from The George WashingtonBridge.

Deer Run is situated on two acres with a one-acre forest and organic garden. Anyone who visits Deer Run is overwhelmed by the tranquility of the house and the surrounding property. We spend many weekends at the house ourselves but would be delighted to share this special place with others who enjoy getting away to the beautiful mountain environs as much as we do.

We really enjoyed our weekend away in the Catskills at Deer Run! The place was welcoming, warm, and spotless. We were a group of six adults and one baby. The owners had a high chair at our disposal which was very helpful.

Our only comment would be that for this sized group there isn't quite enough living room seating. Another couch or some comfy chairs would have made lounging a little more comfortable since we spent evenings indoors.

Cozy, Quiet and Away From It All

I rented this cozy home for a weekend in September and I must say it was simply splendid! The rental was for three couples, all from New York City, and it was exactly what we all needed. We took total advantage of the warm afternoons laying on the hammock, cooking burgers on the grill, picking wild flowers from the garden and enjoying an amazing dinner at a restaurant just down the road, the Red Onion. It was a pretty warm weekend in September and it was nice not having to use the AC and just sleep with the windows open as the house was pretty cool and comfortable. It was truly a grand time and we are looking forward to our next trip to Deer Run!
