Wonderful recently remodeled house originally built in 1879 for rent on historic Champlain Street. You will stay in a charming 2-story loft in a neighborhood deemed part of the World Heritage sites by UNESCO.
Fully renovated with unique style, stone wall, brick, bedroom, bathroom with natural light. You will have a double bed sofa bed in the living room and a high quality queen bed in the bedroom.
The loft faces a quiet park and the St. Lawrence River. Bike paths, plains of Abraham, and petit Champlain are very close. Ideal for 4 people.
If you plan to visit Montreal (only 2.5 hour East of Quebec city) i would recommend you to look at:
This rental was absolutely awesome. The furnishings were comfortable, the decor was modern yet minimalist, and the shower---WOW!
My husbnad and I came to visit for honeymoon. We were blown away my this place as the rentor explained he and his father got together to tear a wall down to expose the side of the place to show the mountain/cliff/rock that is part of the structure of the place! It was such a nice and calming touch!
The first floor provides a kitchen, entertainment (tv) area, and the washer and dryer was int he back in another tiny room. Upstairs you have an exposed loft style room with the bathroom and shower. This places has neat art work all around it.
I highly recommend staying here as the place itself is a treat!
When it comes to travelling, my husband and I walk alot, but it you rent a car, that's fine too. We didn't have to walk too far to get everywhere, and there are lots of restaurants nearby.
Overall nice quiet stay.
The perfect place to stay during our visit to Quebec City. Loved the loft and all its wonderful architectural features (and very cool art everywhere-even in unexpected places), its proximity to all the sights of old Quebec and to the park on the river for our dog. And dealing with Ezekiel was very easy which made our trip planning simple and our stay very relaxing.
When we did the research to find a place to stay in Quebec City we were impressed with the reviews and the pictures of this property. On the positive side the owner was very accomodating. We had arrived a day early which was our mistake and he helped us to find a place to stay that night which we really appreciated. On our arrival the next day to the property we were also pleased to be able to check in to the property at 1pm. The property is definitely unique and he has done a lot of work to update it. It is built along a cliff and the shower has the exposed cliff wall which is very cool. The kitchen is well appointed and the rooms are very spacious and roomy.
Unfortunately, it is not well maintained. It was very hot during our stay and there is no air conditioning. The fan measures 6 inches in diameter and is the only cooling source in the entire 2 floor apartment. The apartment smelled very musty and it was not clean. There were cobwebs everywhere, inches of dust, and many spiders. We contacted the owner via email to explain our concerns with the apartment and he never responded. When we have problems we like to work them out with the owner first as no one wants to get a bad review. But we feel compelled to let others know that we would definitely not recommend renting this property.
If you like the photos, you'll love the space. It's sophisticated and earthy. The house is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Old Port area restaurants. This is a plus, as you're in a real neighborhood. The house is very clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay. Ezekiel will explain parking which is free and close-by. We recommend walking on Rue Saint Jean and surrounding area to get a feel for the city outside of the Old Port area. There are interesting shops and restaurants there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the very-conveniently located condo. The condo is located directly below the Plains of Abraham, just 393 steps to the top. We are two active seniors, so the 393 steps were not an option, however, we were still located less than 10 minutes by car from all that QC has to offer.
The condo was clean and well-equipped. The owner was accessible and amenable to our requests for assistance. it is impossible to describe the exquisite and unusual shower...it just has to be experienced to believe it.
Renting this property is highly recommended.
If I have to use one word to describe this unit... It will be "Wordless" or just "wow". First of all, the interior decor is simply magnificent, it has a "Tate Modern" feel, a perfect mix of Contemporary and historicism, perfectly blended into the beautiful historic city. The unit is roomy and fully equiped with everything, even cooking spices and coffee (which we forgot to bring). As our gesture of "bring it forward", we've left half dozen of beer for the next guests. We seldomly cook and eat in house when we travel especially in Quebec, but this place you defintely want to eat in! Its even more romantic than any restaurant in the city, along with comfort and privacy. A picture is worth a thousand words, just looking at the pictures will tell all. It's not a 5 star hotel buit definitely offers a long list of stuffs not offered in a 5 star hotel. So I can definitely designate Ezekiel's unit as a 5 star vacation home.
