THE TERRACE AT PELICAN BEACH is a luxury high-rise located in the heart of Destin. It is located on the same property as Pelican Beach Resort, directly across from the Big Kahuna Water/Theme Park. This building is part of a beautiful resort with great amenities. We have multiple units available in this building and adjacent Pelican Beach building with the best rates you will find. Book multiple rooms for large parties, nightly, weekly, or at the snowbird rate during the winter season.
Unit 904 at the Terrace is a spacious 1,300-square-foot 3-bedroom/2-bath condo with den located on the ninth-floor and offering an unbelievable view of the Destin Harbor, the Destin Bridge, and the beautiful Gulf waters. The building is set back from the beach about 250 yards - just traverse the resort grounds to the beach (no streets to cross!) . The unit features a king size bed in the master, a queen in the second bedroom, and two twin beds in the third bedroom, as well as a new queen sleeper in the family room, making for room for eight to sleep comfortably. In addition, this unit has fresh paint and new carpet.
Also in this unit are four TVs and a DVD player. Free WifI. The kitchen seats six at the table and four at the counter, and the balcony stretches the width of the condo, with table and chairs. Each room is very nicely decorated.
The amenities of Pelican Beach Resort cannot be beat anywhere else in Destin. The Terrace Building offers a beautiful pool (heated) with a large Jacuzzi attached. There is a very well equipped fitness center as well as community grills to enjoy.
At the other Pelican Beach building, you will find a deli-style restaurant with a small store, a game room, another workout facility with a steam room and sauna, a baby pool, an indoor/outdoor pool, another outdoor pool with a waterfall, a Jacuzzi overlooking the beach, a Tiki Bar overlooking the beach that serves drinks, beach umbrella and chair rentals, and free poolside kids’ activities during the summer. They also have a daily kids' camp during peak times for a charge, and parents night out is offered several nights per week also during the busy season. An oversized golf cart will take you between the two buildings if you have a lot to carry, but honestly, the distance is just a minute or two, and is really very convenient. No other high-rise on the beach in Destin offers as much as Pelican Beach—this is the best of the best in Destin.
From The Terrace Building, you can walk to many stores, restaurants, and fun things to do. There are dune buggies, a water park, bungee jumping, and an arcade right across the street. You can also walk to Wings, a popular souvenir shop, fast food restaurants, and the new Winn-Dixie grocery store. A movie theater is also only two blocks away. Take a walk down the beach to grab lunch or dinner at the Back Porch, a famous Destin landmark.
While in Destin, there are a couple of brand new shopping and dining areas that you do not want to miss. At the corner of Highway 98 and the Mid-Bay Bridge intersection, there is a brand new shopping/dining complex called Destin Commons. It has a 16-theater movie complex, lots of great stores (Abercrombie, Limited Too, Black & White Market, Build-A-Bear, Bass Pro Fishing, and Sharper Image, to name a few). There is also a Hard Rock Cafe, Johnny Rockets, and several other eateries!
In the Sandestin Resort, you will not want to miss the new Baytowne Wharf area that features shops and restaurants overlooking the Choctawatchee Bay. Also located here is a pier, and take the boat shuttle from the entrance of the resort to the Baytowne Wharf area.
Destin beaches are the prettiest, whitest, sandy beaches in the country, and the emerald-green water is unmatchable. If you have never been to Destin, you are in for a real treat. No matter how long you stay, it is never enough!
The Emerald Coast was recently picked as the “#1 Beach in America” by USA Today readers and selected for the 12th year in a row as the “Best Beach in the South” and “Top Family Destination” by Southern Living readers!
