I have spent 26 years working in the real estate industry and Oyster Bay is one of the nicest and most convenient recreation spots I know that has Puget Sound access on the Kitsap Peninsula.
James J Malsch purchased this house in 2005
This is the nicest bay in the Bremerton area. In the summer it draws many people for water recreation, there is a terrific 4th of July fireworks display from local property owners and businesses. In the winter the views are beautiful and the Christmas Ships tour the bay during the holiday season. Sit in the hot tub or lounge on the deck and enjoy all the waterfront views have to offer. Snuggle with a good book or movie and enjoy a warm fire during the winter months.
Watching the wildlife, cranes, sea lions, eagles, and much more. Great for BBQ's, the large deck spans the width of the house. Canoe or kayak around the bay or out to the old naval munitions dock. Away from it all yet a short walk to groceries, Starbucks, The Pancake House, Redbox, Wallgreens, Tony's Pzza, Jack in the box, and much more.
On behalf of my entire family I would like to thank you for the great accommodations that your Oyster Bay property provided us on our recent stay. From the first view of the bay from the deck to the last dip in the hot tub one frosty night, we all agree that the cottage provided a comfortable and restful weekend getaway. The cottage was very nicely furnished and supplied. There was really nothing that we lacked throughout the weekend.
Best wishes for a Happy Holidays.
Our children and grandchildren came up from Minnesota, for my husbands retirement ceremony from the Navy, So we needed a place that we could be able to get them all together and where they could also enjoy some of Washington's, Beautiful sights.... the first day they went to the zoo, then on Friday we all got together for the ceremony in Bangor, than back to the house for a bar-b-que and to enjoy the house and its amenities, Saturday we all celebrated my youngest grandson's 1st birthday and again we bar-b-qued. Sunday we said our goodbyes and everyone went separate ways, on the way out of Washington we all took the ferry into Seattle and some of us went to the space needle others went sightseeing, but we all agreed having the home centrally located gave us all the opportunity to do things we all wanted to do. Thank you so much for opening your home so that other families could have opportunities like this.
our stay at the Oyster bay house was a great experience1 we arrived around 6 pm, so it was already dark outside making a little difficult to find but found it. th house is well equipped to handle large families, with two kitchens that were well stocked with everything you need. The upper deck has a beautiful view of the bay and has an awesome bbq, hard piped in for all the cooking you want to do. The upstairs living room is warm and comfortable with a 60" flat screen and fireplace to enjoy. The business center overlooks the bay through large windows. The downstairs area was also enjoyable with flat screen TV and Jacuzzi to enjoy. The beds were comfortable, with no complaints from any of the family members. although it rained most of the time we were there, overall it was still an enjoyable place to rent and would do it again.
The 2nd time we've stayed in this lovely waterfront home. Very clean, homey, lots of room to spread out, well equipped, comfortable. Will definitely return. We were visiting family in Bremerton, this was the perfect fit. Close to grocery, easy access to highways, ferry.
My family and I + my parents stayed in James' wonderful Oyster Bay home for a week in June. This was our first trip to the Seattle area, heading there for the Seattle Rock and Roll marathon. Initially, we were a little worried about being across the sound and having to take the Bremerton ferry any time we traveled. Our concerns were misguided. Taking the ferry, something we did a half dozen times, turned out to be relaxing, filled with beautiful views of the city and and just what we needed for a little down time with the kids.
The home is well appointed, having everything we needed and more. The view of Oyster Bay is tranquil and the jacuzzi on the patio was always fresh and relaxing...we spent a lot of time in there. The upper and lower levels both had full kitchens, the bedrooms were large and the internet connection was solid. If we ever had a question, James was available to answer. We will return next year to stay in James' home again.
We were in Bremerton for a family wedding, and this place couldn't have worked out better for us! It is every bit as lovely as the photos show. Amazing views. The lower level does feel more like a basement, but that was totally expected, and totally worked out for us. the view from that level was awesome, too! Seven of us stayed, so we we had plenty of room. Two of the bathrooms are well updated, and the 3rd was fun because it was authentic to the house. the only inconvenience we found was in the 3rd (original) bathroom-no place to plug in a hair dryer, but we certainly had no problem working around that. Wonderful place, clean, great location-very close to a large grocery store, etc., but very private. We'll definitely stay there (if available) when we return!
We've stayed in several VRBOs and they don't always live up to the pictures and description, but this wasn't the case with the Oyster Bay beach house. It was every bit as nice as we'd hoped. It was only a 90 minute trip from Seattle (either driving around the inlet or on the ferry), so it was a nice quick getaway from the city. We arrived to a spectacular floor-to-ceiling view of the bay and enjoyed barbecuing on the large deck with gorgeous sunsets as our backdrop. The hot tub was fabulous and we used it every day! The surround-sound system and big screen TV equipped with Netflix made for cozy nights hanging out in front of the fire with movies and popcorn. And we didn't have any trouble getting our disabled teenager around in her wheelchair on the main floor. The sectional sofa allowed us to get just the right set-up for our family. Very comfortable! There are four good-sized bedrooms (two upstairs and two downstairs), and a kitchenette and family room downstairs, so there is plenty of room for two families. The main kitchen is well-stocked and everything is kept up nicely. And despite the need to work for a couple of days while I was supposed to be enjoying vacation time, I was able to get a good internet connection and with the office overlooking the bay, I couldn't complain too much!
All in all we had a very nice, relaxing stay. James was very responsive to all our questions and a true a pleasure to work with. This is a terrific property and a great price. We'll be back the next chance we get!
Secluded setting on the bay yet just steps to groceries, Starbucks, Redbox, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. Look across the bay at the Olympic mountains, enjoy sunsets, eagles, the occasional sea lion and much more.
