We would love to share it with you and have your family make their own memories here!

Owner/Property Manager purchased this farmhouse in 1949

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Snohomish

We offer two homes on the farm, see the other on VRBO #426809. My family has owned this farm since 1949. The homestead house has been a part of this working farm since 1949. Previously, a dairy farm, we now operate the farm raising natural pork, beef and lamb. Not only can you enjoy the privacy of staying in an original, renovated, farmhouse to the farm, but you can participate in feeding, farm tours, hiking the 20 acres of trails on our farm, completely private. The views of the valley are stunning, and getting to town is 5 min.drive. It's all here! Who do you know that has grown up on the same farm all of their 56 years? Definitely a unique situation! Also, unique that you can rent two of the homes on the farm. Wedding parties can stay together, family reunions,or other events, can be held. Sharing the common grass areas for picnics, lawn games, or just relaxing! Lot's of red tail hawks,Eagles, bird watching, meditation and/or hiking on the property. The 20+acres of private, manicured hiking trails are rare and gorgeous!

What makes this farmhouse unique

Waking up to the sounds of country life...quiet! Experiencing the farm animals, and the surrounding view within minutes from an historic town. Big city life in Seattle within an hours drive as well as the mountains and water, all within an 1/2 to an hour is a plus! Enjoy the moo! The high ceilings in the downstairs, with the beautiful light, create a very tranquil enviornment! View, view, view! Take a farm tour and see the lambs, calves and piglets.Great photo op for photographers, family photos, nature photos, you name it. The barns are sturdy and make a nice back drop. The kids can come see the barn owls. A nice learning experience for children! Let them roam without fear! Lot's of room to roam, exhale and recharge!

Lovely stay at a farm house.

  • 5 of 5

We loved these two nights at #hagenfarm and felt at home. It was raining, so we enjoyed the fire stove inside. The house has a very comforting feel and made us feel very relaxed. It's neat and very comfortable, we slept great and loved hearing the quiet animal sounds coming from a distance while waking up in the morning. Barbara was very kind and also did a tour of the farm for us, our son loved it - we got to see the cows and young calfs, sheep and the curious pigs. We will look forward to coming back in the fall!

Owner's Response: We were so grateful to be able to host this young family for a weekend getaway. The home suited them perfectly~allowing them to visit downtown Snohomish, a get away to Seattle, as well as a tour of the farm, which their little boy really enjoyed. They expressed their gratitude, in that the home had all they needed, as well as a good feel to it, to enjoy their time here. We look forward to their fall stay, with all the valley has to offer, and the improvements the home will then boast!

A farm house to love!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the farm house for four nights with two adults and two kids. We had a wonderful stay. The house is centrally located for exploring Snohomish and beyond. The house is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Barbara made sure we had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed playing in the big yard and my hubby and I enjoyed sitting back relaxing and enjoying the fun. We will definitely be staying at the farm house on our next visit!

Owner's Response: I was so happy Martine and her family found us! Turns out they use to live right up the road and wanted to visit friends and local venues they were familiar with! I loved that they had driven by the farm many times, when they lived in the area, and noticed the decorated barn fence on the road! It really made us happy to host their family while returning to the area for a short time! We look forward to their next stay!

An Adventure!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with my elderly parents for a family wedding. What a fun adventure! We had never stayed in a farm house before! It is so homey and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay! Barbara's warm hospitality was evident everywhere. We loved the tour she gave us to see the farm animals, and she taught us a lot about raising them! She was very helpful with our many questions throughout our entire stay. The view of the valley is AMAZING! I wish we had more time to explore the area, there is so much to do! The VRBO description is very accurate. So appreciate being able to stay in this quaint guest house. We would stay there again!

Owner's Response: Bill, Linda and his parents were in the area for a family wedding @ Lord Hill's Farm, just minutes from our farm. With so many farm wedding venues in the area, we are so happy to be able to host these guests and continue with the farm theme, while they make their home away from home, right here on our farm! When their are elders staying, they can sit and enjoy the view while others go ono a farm tour, or participate and then sit in the covered party shack with comfy chairs to enjoy the view during the rest of their stay! With the farm being so close to access to outlying areas, it makes it super convenient to get out and explore. I love giving farm tours to our guests, it's a real treat, to younger and older folks. It seems to become a real learning experience as well as brings back memories to the older guests, who may have grown up on a farm. I feel we are the one's who benefit in meeting so many wonderful people and sharing our slice of heaven on earth!

Great place to just relax!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 2 daughters (ages 10 & 15) and I stayed 4 four nights. It was to peaceful and relaxing. The house was cutely decorated and had everything we needed. Our girls really enjoyed touring the farm and seeing the animals. My husband and I spent time sitting in the lawn chairs enjoying the view of the land and quite of the farm. Barbara was so sweet and quickly tended to any needs that arose. We really loved staying and would jump at the chance again.

Owner's Response: We were happy to host this family from Idaho! All of us being collectors of antiques and treasures, they came to the right farm, within 3 mi.of historical downtown Snohomish! Antiques and collectibles galore! The farm is truly centrally located, within 1.5 miles of hiway 9 to the east, I-405 and I-5 within just minutes. The family took advantage of the easy access to visit Seattle as well as head up north to visit family. This is especially important in the winter months, as their are no hills and/or hard to navigate directions and windy, hilly roads to reach any of the major roads, hiways or freeways from the farm. In the inclimate weather, you will really appreciate the location of the farm, and on a sunny day, you will still appreciate it for it's close proximity to everything local. The unique experience of staying on the farm is it's expansive space of the farm's 220 acres, without a neighborhood of homes around you, allowiing you to really take a deep breath and relax! As well the benefits of your ability to reach destinations both north and south easily, you feel like you are out in the country, with all it's sounds of nature, and complete privacy from the owners. It's like a nature oasis, with lot's of nature taking place around you! But just minutes from all the local activity, shopping, pubs and restaurants . The farm offers a unique setting in that you can look over the entire valley, you can tour the farm, as this family did. They appreciated being able to come in such close contact with the calves, piglets and lambs, and barn owls but also appreciated the history of the farm, learning about the animals, the valley and Jay's unique story of having lived on this farm his entire life, such a rare glimpse into the life of a true "valley boy", who loves his farm, his community and is quite active in the community to this day. The family expressed to me, more than once, how much they appreciated the view, the tranquil setting at the edge of the 20 acres of private, manicured hiking trails, which they found beautiful, not to mention how peaceful and beautiful the farm is, and how unique. They were really able to relax. They took particular interest in the working of our fields. With fall coming, it brings all the falls harvest activities to the farms, many visible from our farm. Of course, the holidays are approaching, so the farm makes a nice place for friends and family to reside while visiting! The view from the farm in fall/winter are awesome!

Wonderful, cozy spot

We rented both houses on the farm for a family trip and they were just perfect. Amazing views, well stocked houses, kid friendly and very comfortable. We would go back and stay there in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone.

Owner's Response: We are so happy it worked out for your family to reserve both homes and all be together! It was nice to drive by, as we were leaving our home, and see you all sitting in the front yard, enjoying the great view! We hope to see you all again!

Wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

Our family felt right at home on Hagen Farm. Yummy cookies were waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. And the retro decor got me super excited the moment I stepped through the door. A lot of thought gets put into the hospitality here - right down to the complimentary boots and overalls! The kids and adults both enjoyed visiting the cows, sheep, and pigs during the farm tour. And we had a blast visiting all the nearby pumpkin patches and Halloween festivities. But it's that beautiful view of the farmhouse and the valley that will stick with me the most. Snohomish is a wonderful, off-the-beaten path destination in WA. Hot air balloon rides, sky diving, pumpkin patch activities for tots, the state's best antiquing, and haunted houses for teens and adventurous adults make this the perfect getaway for just about any age or personality. This will definitely become our family's Fall tradition!

Owner's Response: It was such a delight to meet this family, meeting them at the barn, and seeing them in their boots and overalls brought a smile to my face for sure. The family, getting out of the city to the farm, and Snohomish, with all it has to offer, made me not only proud to be a farmer, but to be a farmer in Snohomish! The location of the farm allows for guests to easily navigate all the valley has to offer, as well as downtown Snohomish, with little travel time. I look forward to seeing the family making this a fall tradition!
