Bob and I love old charming homes and the lure of the beautiful village of Chester made it love at first sight. We love to get up in the morning, listen to the birds and stroll through town. Breakfast at the Kiwi is a special treat and we enjoy eating at ALL of the restaurants, playing golf and taking in the local Chester Theater which is top notch!
We love the South Shore! Chester, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay are our favorite haunts for exploring, antiquing, shopping, etc. but we chose Chester because of its quaintness, elegance, beauty, limited crowds and tourists and last but not least fine dining!. It is a great place to retire which is our goal! It doesn't hurt that it is near Halifax where we grew up!
Quiet, space, beauty, wonderful walks and close promixity to everything town has to offer.
The location is central to Halifax, Lunenburg (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Peggy's Cove (the most visited site in Nova Scotia).
