Chateau / Country House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

100 ft of sandy beach overlooking Grand Traverse Bay.

Two bedroom with two baths and hardwood floors in living and dining areas with rugs. Tiled Kitchen, entryway and laundry room. Both bedrooms are carpeted.

There is an attached porch on front which wraps around to the side. Located on the back is another porch facing the water with a built-in heated shower for cleaning off sand.

There is furniture on the porch as well on the beach. We have a gas grill for cooking outside. Sit around the fire pit with your drinks and enjoy the beautiful evenings by moonlight on Bowers harbor.

About The Owner

We are an older couple in our 80's who act and feel like we are 40. We reside in Flushing, Michigan in the summer and travel to Florida in the winter.

The Owner purchased this chateau / country house in 1960

We owned the property since early 1960's. Built the present home in 2011.

We love just sitting on the porch eating and drinking and talking with friends.

An Absolute Delight!!

My family stayed here summer of 2011 over July 4th for a week. Although brand new at that time, everything was up and running and perfect! We enjoyed the Lake in the AM, the Peninsula in the afternoon, and the home in the evening (when we weren't at The Cherry Festival.) The owners are absolutely delightful as well. I dare say there is no false advertising in the VRBO listing for this home; everything is as stated--or better. My only concern with writing this rave review is that now EVERYONE will want to rent this place. Oh, and the next door neighbor's seaplane is a nice added bonus. Ah, the grand life Up North!
