This property far exceeded our expectations. It was a lovely home, well decorated and will every possible amenity one would expect at a nice hotel. The neighborhood was lovely And is situated close to many of the activities we planned on doing while in Atlanta. We hope to return back here in the future.
There was a group of 10 of us that stayed at this house and we all very much enjoyed it. The house was well furnished, clean, and very artsy. We were able to meet the owner and she was a very nice and accommodating person. The house is in a VEry nice neighborhood and the scenery in the area was beautiful. We definitely recommend this location to other travelers.
This home is very clean and beautifully decorated with full amenities plus wonderful extra unique touches. Our family traveled to Atlanta during the horrible January snowstorm that paralyzed the city for several days. We came from Chicago, Florida, WashingtonDC, Maryland and New York for the funeral of our beloved sister. The arrangements with the owner went very smoothly and our stay was very comfortable. This was excellent venue for a small gathering of friends for the repast. The home is located in a quiet, clean residential area which made the stay even better.
My family stayed here for our Atlanta vacation and it was perfect. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. We had two toddlers and a dog with us and it was perfectly suited to them as well. I appreciated having just the one level with the kids so we didn't have them playing on stairs the entire trip. The kids also slept in the bedrooms farthest from the main living area, which was so convenient. It was quiet on that end of the hall, so we didn't disturb them if we stayed up late. There were plenty of supplies in the house - bath towels, beach towels, cleaning supplies, dishes, pots & pans, utensils, trash bags, tissues, etc. We didn't have to bring a thing.
The best part about this house is that it is so very close to everything. We were just 15 minutes away from most downtown attractions, and there was plenty of great food nearby. The driveway is a little steep, which you can't tell from the pictures, but we just backed in and parked at the top close to the road and it was perfectly fine. We hope to come back to Atlanta when the new Braves stadium opens. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much for a great vacation!
I booked this home for a Saturday bridal tea for my daughter, who is from Atlanta, and about twenty women from the Atlanta area and beyond. There was room for 8 to stay for the overnights, but there was plenty of room for our festivities on Saturday. This home was the perfect setting for this special occasion - lovely artwork, well groomed outdoor areas, beautifully, comfortably and functionally furnished! We couldn't have been more pleased with this little jewel! Would definitely recommend this rental home!
This lovely home exceeds its description. It was perfect for our party which included 3 grandparents. There is beautiful artwork and lovely decor throughout the home, solar lanterns in the big backyard trees (delightful!) All four bedrooms are well-done, each with king or queen beds and extra linens. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathrooms have plenty of thick, soft towels. Nearby Deepdene Park is nice for walks and the home is located close to Emory University, stores and sightseeing. This is an EXCELLENT property for a family reunion. Three generations of our family came from all over to celebrate a graduation, birthdays and Mother's Days. We had a perfect Atlanta experience. Thank you!
Atlanta is home to many wonderful and exciting attractions for all vacationers, families, or executives and their various interests. What is more, our home is in the center of Intown living and all attractions are easily accessible.
Our home is located in Historic Druid Hills, which was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead who is infamous for designing Central Park in New York City. Because Olmstead designed the area in which our home was built, within walking distance we have many major parks which are known as the Olmstead Linear Parks. These parks are home to bike paths, fields, and beautiful landscaping. The Olmstead Linear Parks and other parks and nature preserves such as Deep Dean Park and Nature Trails and the Frazier Center 60-acre wildlife sanctuary and formal gardens are all within two blocks of the home. Atlanta is also home to many other well-known parks and nature sanctuaries like Centennial Olympic Park, Piedmont Park, Candler Park, Fernbank Science Center and Planetarium, and Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. For any vacationers who are interested in staying in Atlanta but may want to take a vacation from their stay, Stone Mountain, which offers mountain climbing, hiking, sight-seeing, fishing, boating, and laser light shows, Lake Lanier, which offers all water sports and hobbies and also offers boat rentals, and the Chattahoochee River, which offers fishing, fly fishing, kayaking, and rafting, are all wonderful attractions that make perfect venues for day trips and are only forty-five minutes to an hour away from the home. For those that are seeking thrills, the home is located thirty minutes away from the very popular Six Flags over Georgia.
Although Atlanta is the Tree City of the South, we are also known for many other attractions other than our parks and nature sanctuaries. Atlanta is also home to many wonderful museums and entertainment venues. The High Museum of Art, Center for Puppetry Arts, Callanwolde Arts Center, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Children’s Museum of Atlanta, Atlanta History Center, Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum, Atlanta Zoo, Georgia Aquarium, Turner Baseball Field, Georgia Dome, World of Coca-Cola, Jimmy Carter Library and Museum, Woodruff Arts Center, Breman Jewish History Museum, Delta Heritage Museum, Ferst Center for the Arts, Ivan Alan Junior Braves Museum and Hall of Fame, Martin Luther King Junior National Historic Site, Atlanta Capitol Building, Margaret Mitchell House and Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, and the Museum of Design Atlanta are Atlanta’s greatest museums and site-seeing venues and are all worth seeing. Concerts, live theater, and comedy shows are also a big part of Atlanta’s entertainment and shows can be seen nightly at the Historic Fox Theater, the Alliance Theater, the Atlanta Ballet, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Opera House, the Masquerade, the Tabernacle, Center Stage, the Laughing Skull Lounge, the Buckhead Theater, 7 Stages Theater, Underground Atlanta, 14th Street Playhouse, the Relapse Comedy Theater, and many more. Atlanta is also home to wonderful galleries full of creative and inspiring Atlanta artists’ work.
Shopping during the day and eating out or going to night clubs in the evening is also a major part of Atlanta culture. For visitors who really want to experience the Atlanta day or night life, Downtown Decatur, Little Five Points, Atlantic Station, Downtown, Midtown, or Buckhead are the places to go.
Also, Emory University and the Center for Disease Control are within a quarter of a mile from the home.
For those visitors who may worry about transportation, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) bus stops and train stations are located throughout the city. The East Lake MARTA train station is the closest train station to the home and is located less than five minutes away. The closest bus stop is within one block of the home.
