This three-story, custom-built house was designed with easy living in mind. The open floor plan embraces the beach lifestyle in Costa Rica, where outdoor living space is very important. Generous windows and hand-made teak French doors can be opened in every room, allowing beach breezes to circulate through the house. The huge terrace offers a variety of comfortable areas for everyone to hang out and relax. All the bedrooms are air conditioned to provide a comfortable sleeping environment.
Ground Living Level: On the first level are two bedrooms, each with generous views of the pool and ocean. The bunk room has a queen, a twin, and bunk beds, as well as a half bath; the second bedroom is equipped with 2 twins and a king. Both bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. There is also a full bath, laundry room, bodega with secure storage, and a kitchenette in the breezeway on the first floor. The breezeway itself opens onto a large covered porch area with graceful arches, concrete benches, hammocks, and outdoor furniture. From the porch overlooking the infinity edge pool with wrap around decking, you are steps from the small private beach out front, which is perfect for beach combing and lingering in the tide pools.
Main Living Level: The second level of this home captures the best of all views. The front porch entry boasts colorful sunrise mountain views, while the back porch offers spectacular ocean views. The great room/dining area is warm and welcoming, with vaulted tropical wood ceilings and custom crafted furniture including a dining table with seating for 8 or more. Open and fold the wood and glass doors back and the great room expands onto a wide outside porch to create an extended outdoor living area complete with hammock, another dining table, outdoor bar and sitting areas. The spacious kitchen offers modern appliances, a large center island, and an 8 ft. wooden bar that opens to the porch, making a great spot for breakfast or sunset cocktails. The master and guest bedrooms flow off both sides of the great room and are generously sized. The master offers a large private bath and king size bed while the guest bedroom has a queen bed and private bath. All bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Guestbook comments from the manager
We enjoyed our second stay at this wonderful beachfront manor with its spacious interiors, wonderful kitchen, large patios, warm swimming pool, gas BBQ, and comfortable furnishings. This was a repeat visit to su casa, this time with the treat of feeding apples to horses that were grassing nearby and strolled by one evening. We again enjoyed shell hunting on the beach down from the pool, and swimming in the ocean around some surfers and fishermen a 10 minute stroll down the beach, between the lava formations. The sunsets -- as always -- were generous to our camera, including post-sunset reds and purples when the occasional cloud was around.
When the local wifi went out, Mary and staff took immediate action and escorted the on-site repair visit to be sure we would not miss our activities, to which we were very thankful.
