Cottage, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Chapman Point Cottage is a warm, cozy and comfortable cottage. It's located on the same property as Chapman Point House, but privacy is maintained. The Cottage can be rented separately (for two people) or along with Chapman Point House - to accommodate a total of six people.

Under soaring Cypress trees in the garden, this charming, small cottage is just a little over a mile from - and across the Bay from - Mendocino Village... perfect as a getaway.. perfect for two people to cozy up together.

Huge, old, recycled redwood beams are the framework for the living room and support for the loft bedroom. Lots of light pours in through large sliding-glass doors (out to the garden) and the upstairs is surrounded by clerestory windows.

The living room is very comfortable with a plush sofa and a huge chaise lounger. It's warm and comfortable with an entertainment center featuring a 42' wide screen TV (satellite)... a blu-ray disc player & wi-fi-ready. The TV screen is mounted on a swivel for viewing from the sofa, the chaise lounge or from the kitchen. She watches football from the comfort of the sofa ...he cooks but he can still watch the game from the kitchen sink!

Upstairs, from the bedroom-loft, there's a modest view of the Bay and beyond, Mendocino Village in the distance, as theatrical as a painted backdrop - pretty on a calm day, dramatic in a storm when the waves crash against the rocky bluffs. Directly adjacent to 300+ acres of open space meadows and ocean bluffs perfect for hiking, birding and whale watching. And at the end of the day - there's always the soothing hot tub... under the stars. It's pure comfort... a cozy getaway at Chapman Point Cottage.
