4BR LOG CABIN ON OLD CAMPGROUND - SECLUDED YET CONVENIENT AREA

Boone Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

This charming 4BR/2BA log cabin rental is full of character and space. Over 2400 sq ft. nestled in the woods between Blowing Rock NC and Boone NC, this cozy log cabin rental is a wonderful family home, perfect for any age group. The log cabin has been completely refurbished and has hardwood floors throughout. A huge skylight floods the living areas with welcome sunlight. A deck on the back is equipped with a grill and comfortable seating. The large front porch is filled with rockers and tables for enjoying morning coffee. The setting is ideal for exploration. The Blue Ridge Parkway with it's scenic views and abundant trails is 3 miles away. The wonderful downtown of Blowing Rock and the University in Boone are also very closeby.

Deer, raccoons, and other wildlife are often sighted around the cabin. Peaceful and serene, the stars shine bright and you feel as if you are the only people on earth. No other cabin is visible in the area. Even though the old campground is long gone, the walking trails still meander around the area. As quiet as the area is, it is still only a five minute drive to town! However, you can hear the whistle of Tweetsie Railroad echo throughout the valley. Cabin Fever is recognized by Tweetsie as an official lodging partner.

A floor to ceiling rock fireplace dominates the open area. WIFi, 2 flat paneled cable tvs, DVD, CD player, games and guides are all provided. Close proximity to Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Moses Cone State Park, Julian Price State Park, Appalachian State University, the downtowns of Boone and Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls and Caverns. Hiking, biking, rafting, skiing are all nearby. Go snow tubing or do the zip line at Hawks Nest. Blowing Rock park with its pool and tennis courts are only a short drive.

4 bedrooms in all. Two are located on second floor, two on the main floor. Bring your own sheets and towels or linens can be provided with the beds made for your arrival for an additional fee of $40. NO SMOKING.

Very nice!

  • 5 of 5
Very nice! I just have a couple of negatives. The cabin was clean over all but it seemed like the cleaning had been done along time ago. There were cob webs here and there and dust under the beds. Also, our hot water ran out the first morning we were there. There is a special switch to turn on the hot water and my daughter said she did switch it on. Maybe someone turned it off accidentally. But the cabin is very spacious with a lot of chairs and sofas for everyone to be comfortable.
We enjoyed it very much!

Great location, cute cabin, wonderful memories

  • 4 of 5
We had two families (4 adults, 2 young children) and stayed here for a Memorial Day weekend getaway to the mountains. The location was perfect. Right up the road from Tweetsie and convenient to lots of restaurants and other attractions. The old campsite across the street provided a great little "nature walk" for the kids. It is definitely a cabin in the woods, not the Ritz Carlton, and we enjoyed the rustic feel of everything. Everything was clean and in good shape. We had lots of room for everyone. The kids liked having their own rooms and loved the pool table. I loved the front porch with the rockers. My son has talked often since the trip going back to the cabin. It was a great family vacation.

Wonderful spot for family celebration!

  • 5 of 5
Our extended family stayed in this very comfortable cabin to celebrate our daughter's December ASU graduation. I really can't say enough nice things about our visit. It is very conveniently located, and thoughtfully appointed. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, and the pool table was a big hit. May was great about responding to my questions, and the transaction was totally smooth. Thanks!

Wonderful authentic cabin

  • 5 of 5
Our two families, totaling eight, had a great week-long stay at Cabin Fever. It has an authentic vintage atmosphere combined with up-to-date comforts. The area was very quiet, private and woodsy, yet we could be in town in a just a few minutes. The easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway was a nice bonus. The high elevation made it cool despite the warmer temperatures in Boone, and we did not need the AC. There is plenty of room, and all the bedrooms are comfortable, as well as the furniture. You can fit eight at the dining room table or out on the porch at the picnic table. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking full meals. The pool table in large loft was a lot of fun, and we all enjoyed sitting on a rocking chair on one of the porches for morning coffee. We saw several deer from the porch. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we hope to return.

Our Favorite Cabin

  • 5 of 5
My family and I have stayed at Cabin Fever each summer for the past three or four years. We love it! The quiet setting makes for a perfectly relaxing vacation...yet close by are attractions for every age and interest. We always end our vacation with some sights unseen because a relaxing day at Cabin Fever (reading, napping, or playing pool) is as enjoyable as a day out hiking, shopping, or picnicking at the local parks. We love the porch and the fireplace and make good use of both. There's no better place for coffee in the morning or tea and cocoa in the evening. The pool table is always available for a quick game and the walking trails are a delight. In summer, the daisies are full and beautiful and there is frequently a hummingbird at the feeder on the porch. Cabin Fever is our number one summer destination.

This was a perfect vacation. The cabin is wonderful and well equipped with everything we needed. The owners definitely achieved the comfort and convenience we look for in a vacation rental. Being in a real log cabin was great. The location could not have been better. We saw lots of deer and felt like we were in the woods by ourselves. Yet, we were just a quick drive to restaurants, the outlets, Tweetsie, hiking etc. The kids loved exploring around the cabin and it was great- no traffic up there and lots of trails. This was a memorable trip for us all. We will be back.
