Nestled against the spectacular San Jacinto Mountains, this updated mid-century gem provides a peaceful poolside retreat in classic Palm Springs style. Wake up in the master bedroom to an unbeatable view of the golden hills and throw open the glass doors to savor true California indoor/outdoor living. This, four bedroom, three bath, residence is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with a completely private, grassy back yard and aquamarine pool and spa. The furnishings, entertainment systems and linens are all new with a blend of contemporary and vintage modernism. You and your friends can cook up a storm in the comfortable and well-equipped gourmet kitchen with outdoor built in BBQ and large counter and spend the evening star gazing by the fire pit or mosey into town by car or foot to one of Palm Springs’ outstanding restaurants.
Vista Las Palmas is one of Palm Springs’ classic neighborhoods abounding with the simple modernity of Alexander houses, the ghosts of the Rat Pack, and mountain views that are free of power lines and utility poles. It’s just fifteen minutes on foot or five by car to Palm Canyon Drive where you’ll find world class restaurants, art galleries, boutiques and shops. If you have more ambitious recreational plans, you’ll be ten to fifteen minutes from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Tahquitz Canyon for hiking and the Spa Resort Casino. Opportunities for golfing, tennis and biking are all around you. If you’re driving in from Los Angeles, Vista Las Palmas is conveniently located just as you enter Palm Springs; for those of you coming from further it’s only fifteen minutes from the Palm Springs International Airport.

My partner and I live in Los Angeles and come here when we can. We relax the moment we open the gate.
Ken Blakeley purchased this house in 2011
We love the calm simplicity and beauty of this neighborhood and house.
Great backyard with a pool, oversized jacuzzi, out door gas fire pit with lounge seating area, built in bbq and counter for seating with awesome views of the mountains. Great restaurants.
We had a fabulous 8 days in Ken & Quentin's home last week. It was exactly as described, with all the amenities you could imagine. Plenty of space for three couples and small kids. Stunning yard with postcard-perfect views of The San Jacintos. And yes, the teak pieces are vintage and the Eames Lounger and Ottoman are the real deal! Ken was incredibly helpful - the perfect concierge. If I had the money, I'd own a home exactly like this. So close to Ernest Coffee and Trina Turk and the shops of the Uptown Design District. Bikes were also a nice touch. Thank you for a refreshing and inspiring holiday! We will stay again, if you'll have us.
Our golf foursome happily returned again this March to this spectacular property and we cannot say enough about it. The setting is serene and utterly transporting, the amenities top notch, the stylistic touches are impeccable, the flow to the house lovely, and the attentiveness and thoughtfulness of the owners unparalleled. It honestly doesn't get better than this! The location is convenient and idyllic for all Palm Springs has to offer...or for just staying put for r&r. Being tucked against the mountain is breathtaking, every hour of the day and night. Look no further! This IS the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, spent 11 nights here in February. Can't say enough about how wonderful this rental property is. The house itself is very spacious, extremely clean and so comfortable (great beds, pillows, etc.). The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and more. We cooked most of our meals at the house (nice big BBQ) because we wanted to spend as much time as we could in the amazing yard. Evenings spent sitting around the fire and in the hot tub were something we all looked so forward to. The pool and yard lights add to the tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. We made use of the pool (which was actually big enough to swim laps) and the comfy lounge chairs and floating mats. The stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains from the backyard made for some incredible pictures, especially at sunrise. The entire outdoor space is so private you feel like you are somewhere outside the city, yet the house itself is in such a great location. Only took us about 20 minutes to walk down to Village Fest on Thursday night. The bikes were an added bonus as well. Great way to check out the town. We even made use of the ping pong table in the garage for an hour or two as we had one afternoon with a bit of rain. I would so recommend this place to anyone planning a vacation in Palm Springs. Ken & Quentin were exceptional to deal with and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay (excellent renter's manual by the way). We have rented several great VRBO properties over the last few years, and I have to say, this one was by far one of the best. Not very often do you stay in a place that provides such an abundance of supplies for the renters to use (spices, condiments, water bottles, soaps, tissues, etc...way too many things to list). The owners have thought of everything and it's obvious they want nothing but the best for their guests. This place is worth every penny! Splitting the cost of this rental between 3 couples (and there is plenty of room for 4 couples) makes it very reasonably priced considering the beautiful area of Palm Springs it's located in, and all the extras that come with the place. Thanks so much Ken & Quentin for sharing your beautiful home with us. All six of us are extremely homesick for our home-away-from-home in Palm Springs! Would love to go back someday.
Just spent over two weeks at this property and it was absolutely wonderful. We stayed with our two children and the set up was perfect. The pool is not too deep, perfect for kids and days relaxing in the sun, and the spa is AMAZING! It has a deep end that is about 4 feet deep. On cooler days the kids would use the spa as a pool and practice diving. The fire pit gave us many wonderful, warm evenings under the stars. We have rented homes in many places, including 3 homes in the Old Las Palmas (PSP) neighbourhood over the years and this was by far the best rental experience we have ever had. The house is wonderful, but what is even better is the owners. They were accessible, helpful, and we felt they truly wanted to make sure our vacation was as perfect as it could be. They even made sure to turn up the spa for us when we were returning from LEGOLAND so we could come home and relax right away. A very welcome treat! It was a dream vacation and we are already looking forward to booking a return trip. Five stars all around! I would give Ken and Quentin ten stars if I could!
Three of us spent Christmas week at this incredible house and had a wonderful time. It was everything we wanted and more.
First off, the photos do not do the house justice. Secondly, due its placement on a cul de sac, the house looks modest from the street. It is only after you step inside the door that you realize the expansiveness of the home. There are an abundance of windows overlooking the yard with its large pool, huge deep hot tub, an outside bar with grill, outdoor shower, and abundant patio areas surrounded by beautiful landscaping. As nice as the interior of the house is (and it's beautiful), the outside is like a private park with incredible views of the mountains in three directions. It feels like a private oasis and is completely private and exceptionally quiet. We never heard and never saw any neighbors.
I was fortunate enough to be traveling with a friend who went to culinary school and was looking forward to cooking during our vacation. With any rental property you expect to find the basic pots and pans and utensils. However this house is stocked like a professional kitchen with extensive cookware and every conceivable appliance. Plus there is an abundance of mixing bowls and serving platters, flatware and multiple sets of dishes and glassware (plastic for outside use around the pool and hot tub).
We really enjoyed every aspect of the house. The house is very well furnished and its layout allowed for the three of us to completely spread out. There are two master bedrooms with private baths and two other bedrooms share a third bath. There are a ton of bath towels and pool towels.
We had a wonderfully relaxing week, eating out a few nights and cooking in the rest. Ken's very thorough "renter's guide" gave directions to the grocery markets and suggestions for restaurants. We used the Town Bikes almost every day and found it was a great way to sightsee. (Bring a backpack and you can carry your groceries home on the bike.)
Ken makes the rental process very easy. He is very professional in handling all the arrangements and is extremely patient and very responsive responding to every question you might have. He checked in on us both before and during our stay and even though we never met him in person, he was an amazingly gracious host. We definitely recommend this house and will rent this house again.
Six of us spent a week in PS to celebrate the new year. We loved the house, especially the hot tub. The bikes were great. The house was everything we were looking for in a vacation place. Beautiful views of the mountains as well.
