Our new cottage is clean and near fun filled activities with wonderful mountain, lake and river views. Skiing is only 25 min. away. It is a wonderful place to experience many exciting activities or peaceful scenic views along with fine dining, or just grilling out. We are near many unique places, such as, Historical Hinton, old-time drive-in theatre and Hinton’s Dairy Queen which is famous for their dining over the New River and wonderful hotdogs. We are on site & available to ensure your needs are cared for. We take pride in a clean and well managed establishment.

About The Owner

We are a family of 4, Tim, Lisa, Ashley & Heather plus our dog, Katherina (siberian husky) along with 3 cats, Kiki, Pepper & Kayla.

We enjoy the county area.

Why The Owner chose Pipestem

My family and I love the slow pace feel here (compared to the fast city pace). Tim built our cabin then decided to build this cottage so others could enjoy the area as much as we do. This area has so many activities to offer. Pipestem State Park is next door, just across the street. Our dog, Katerina, just loves it when we take her for a hike at the park. We have a community pool right here at Rock Ridge plus there are 2 pools at the park, (one outdoor and the other indoors). Ski Resort is only 30 easy minutes away from our Cottage. Fishing, hunting, Site seeing, etc, I could go on and on, but its just a place you must experience.

Nice bedrooms but common space was tight

The owners were extremely nice, the bedrooms were fine, but kitchen and living were cramped. However, if there were two of us, I would stay there again. There are snacks, etc. available to buy.

We stayed over MLK weekend and skied at Winterplace. The cottage is new, clean, and cozy. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Having them onsite is a plus.

Helpful owners.
Excellent golf at Pipestem State Park (just across the road)and Willowwoods (Hinton).

We had a great time, they went out of their way to make even our little dachsund feel special. Very relaxing and peaceful. Be sure and go to the DQ in Hinton for hot dogs, and the Oak Supper Club for an outstanding dining experience. Midway Market will suprisingly meet all your grocery needs.

My family and I recently stayed at Rock Ridge Rentals and found it exceeded our expectations. Lisa and Heather welcomed us when we arrived and got settled. Everything was clean and easy to find. When traveling with little kids I already have a ton of stuff to bring so it's nice to stay in a place where I don't need to also supply cooking necessities or linens. It was great to have access to Dish so we could keep current on the Olympics and my kids cartoons when we just wanted to relax indoors. Oh and THANK YOU for having a coffee pot and coffee, I had neglected to get any at the store and was so sad until I found the supply in the cabinet!
We have stayed in a different cottage annually for the last few years in this area and found this one to be our favorite. We also made use of the washer/dryer and pool which was not available with our other rental stays and again made vacation all the better. Lastly with their location being across the highway from Pipestem State Park we had a playground, tennis and basketball courts to entertain the whole family without traveling far every day.
