Thank you so very much for your hospitality. My whole family enjoyed every minute.
Your cabin is beautiful, so very well stocked, and set very far back away from the street, unlike most of the neighboring lots. That was really nice, lots of peace and quiet and privacy.
I have to confess that I let the kids play in the hot tub afterall. I’m pretty sure they thought they had died and gone to heaven. I really enjoyed preparing meals in the kitchen, too. We’ll reach out to you again when we’re ready for another trip!
Love and blessings to your whole family,
We stayed here for 2 nights in April. Party of 4 adults & 4 kids (8 months, 3, 4 & 7). We forgot the pack n play for our 8 month old but luckily there was one provided. Owner contacted us quickly to let us know too. The kids loved the hot tub, the basket on a pulley in the loft and exploring the garden. Everything was clean and an amazingly stocked kitchen. Comfy beds and lots of towels. We all really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for two nights in December. We brought 4 adults and 4 kids aged 3, 5, 8 and 12. The kids loved the loft space. Very spacious. The entire place was well stocked from the kitchen to the linens to the games and videos. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us! We all had a wonderful time.
Fully stocked kitchen, great outdoor patio space. Hot not useable. Plenty of videos. Plenty of parking. Warm interior. Thanks for sharing your home.
I want to thank Sandi for such a smooth booking on such a short notice. Place was wonderful communication with the owner was hands on! We had a super time there the squirrels and blue jays were awesome when they ate the peanuts (they supply). Everything was in working order. Only thing spa was having a little issue getting hot...so owner gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Thanks again we will definitely be staying there again! :-)
This place has everything you need...all kitchen items and it's laid out so you don't run into one another. Very clean, quiet and close to town. I highly recommend this lovely home for your next visit to Idyllwild.
Very comfortable for our party of four adults: dad, mom & two 20-something sons. #1 son spent all 3 evenings of our stay building and tending delightful fires in the cozy stove using the abundant wood provided, while the rest of the family lounged on the comfy couches in the great room after days spent hiking the many beautiful trails within a few minutes drive. Sleeping loft (double bed + 2 twins) was perfect for #1 son ... I could call up from the well-stocked galley kitchen to ask him how he wanted his eggs. #2 son slept in one of the two nice-sized downstairs bedrooms, while mom & dad took the other. The two full baths are both downstairs, one shared by the 2 lower bedrooms, the other off the great room at the bottom of the stairs to the loft. Bring a bathrobe or modest jammies if you don't want your racy sleepwear on public view. Everything was clean and in working order, beds firm and comfortable, plenty of hangers ... all as you would hope. Gas grill lit at the first attempt though it seemed to cook a bit on the cool side. Caveats: 1) The hot tub is a modest one - we got 3 adults in, but more would be pretty darn crowded - and it takes a long time to heat, so be prepared. Would be great for little kids though - it is shallow. If it smells of chlorine, leave the top off for a while and it clears. 2) Be careful if you use the garbage disposal. I should have guessed by the brand new vegetable peeler that it had not seen a lot of potato peels, and I managed to clog it. I should have known better. It had handled carrot and cucumber peels just fine, and I got over confident. So if you are cooking lots of home made meals using the good supply of pots, pans, utensils and dishes, put your more fibrous debris in the nice big trash can. Quantity of dishes and tableware was fine for four people, but we did do the dishes every day in the rather inconveniently positioned dishwasher (a portable one located several steps from the sink). There were paper plates and plenty of napkins though, or you could take the very short drive down to the village and eat at a restaurant like a sensible person. :-) Last caveat: The cabin's "owner's manual" warns you that the tap water is very hot, and they ain't kidding. Be careful. Even forewarned I managed to scald my fingers before I got used to it. Oh and the knives need to be sharpened, but probably no one but me goes on vacation to cook. In short - great vacation place. We'll be back when they've forgotten about the disposal.
