UNIQUE LUXURY PROPERTY FEATURING REGIONAL DESIGN IN OLD TOWN FT. COLLINS

Fort Collins Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Unique Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

This unique luxury property is located in Old Town Ft. Collins. It has been described by some of our guests as a private boutique hotel steps from the center of Old Town! Guests have loved the quiet and private environment. The only antique trolley west of the Mississippi River travels from City Park to downtown passing some of the most notable homes in the community on this prestigious historic street. You'll arrive at your own wrought-iron gated brick courtyard from Mountain Avenue into a renovated, light-filled spacious brick foyer. These spaces were once home to the county and served as offices. In the adaptive re-use of the building, the architect and contractor owners have paid homage to the original character by retaining the colorful leaded glass windows and expanse of carved wood panels in the entry. The maple wood floors in the main living spaces reflect the light from the floor to ceiling windows for an open/expansive loft-like feel.

This is truly a unique property, melding contemporary and regional design touches throughout. From the crisp white sheets to the fluffy towels, down comforters to snuggle into on the Colorado evenings, special interiors and lighting details, you will enjoy experiencing these spaces. The owners have hung art by local artists and added an eclectic mix of antiques and mid century modern professionally designed features. This property is in a truly excellent location, you can leave your car parked and enjoy the 2 block walk to the heart of Old Town Ft. Collins shops, restaurants, and museums as well as the easy access to Colorado State University. Our 'official walk score' is 85 out of 100, which means coffee shops are within .10 miles, restaurants .14, Civic Center Park .21 and the Old Town open air seasonal market on Saturdays. Our location is rated as a Bikers Paradise with a score of 100 due to the flat terrain and wonderful access to bike paths and lanes!!

Keywords: Location, location, location!! Old Town premier historic avenue, walkable, townhome, apartment, university location, quiet upscale luxury, private entry bricked court yard/patio.

About Susan

The owners are a husband and wife architect/interior designer/contractor team who have been involved in the adaptive re-use and re-development of many housing projects in the Old Town area for themselves as well as for their clients.

They so enjoyed staying at a VRBO recently, upon their return they decided to feature one of their own in a very special property they renovated. They have been residents of Fort Collins for over 30 years and formerly faculty at Colorado State University.

Susan purchased this townhome in 2002

Why Susan chose Fort Collins

While hosting professors from abroad, it became apparent that there were not abundant choices for them to stay within close proximity to campus and in the spectacular Old Town area. This is truly a vacation setting/location!

We have had guests return multiple times and we love to provide that special environment that they enjoy.

What makes this townhome unique

We Just Added WiFi for guest's convenience and are working on a DVD and CD library, cable TV is also offered. The property feels like a boutique hotel but with all the privacy of a home. The location is so convenient, one does not need a car, in fact, the best way to experience the area is to stroll through the tree-lined local streets and take in the unique character of Old Town Fort Collins' shops, 84 restaurants, open air markets and activities. Open up the french doors to the entry courtyard below to hear the church bells chime in this historic, charming neighborhood just two blocks from the Old Town's downtown center.

Here are just a few comments from our guest book:

'The condo exceeded all my expectations. I absolutely loved it here' SJ 'This was the best decorated place we have stayed at, comfortable yet sophisticated.' Everyone who came over loved it and said they were unaware of such a great place in the best location. Thank you so much' AW

'Our favorite moment was walking in here and seeing how beautiful this place was! Thank you we hope to come again' TS

' I wish I had your decorating sense Susan, can you come to my house and help me?' SN

This condo was in an amazing location. The details inside the condo were done exceptionally well! The bed and bedding was perfect for a great night sleep. You're only blocks from fabulous dining and shopping as well as nearby breweries. Susan was a great host and maintains their property very well. I would definitely return!!

Quiet Snowy Retreat

  • 5 of 5
I stayed in late January. The house was cozy and warm especially with the throws and tasteful decoration. I cooked in and loved the stove in the island. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the vanity in the bedroom complete with thoughtful lighting in every room. This owner really understands lighting. The owner also shoveled my snow from the front to my car. I felt safe and cared for. Thanks for a terrific retreat!

Luxury living in Old Town Fort Collins

  • 5 of 5
I stay at vacation rentals an average of twice a month, both for business and pleasure. This upscale apartment was by far my best experience yet! Susan has decorated the space with neutrals, and a comfortable mix of rustic and luxurious fabrics and textures. Everything is beautifully thought out, and sparkling clean and fresh. Also, the location is superb. My husband and I had a wonderful week long stay, and highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Fort Collins.

Nice property but check-in could have been better.

  • 4 of 5
We came out to Colorado for family vacation. We were up in the Ft. Collins area. Based on the listing and reviews we decided to rent this unit. The listing was as described. It was very clean. Very nice linens, towels, and beds. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything. There was a washer and dryer in the unit. Owner was pleasant to work with during the reservation process. But I would recommend that the owner draw up a short term rental agreement. She stated that she only does rental agreements for longer stays. However I have stayed at other rental properties by owner over a number of years. A contract has always been included for short and long stays. For the protection of both owner and renter I would advise having a contract regardless of length of stay.
We did arrive at the property a little earlier, I did text and call the owner she did not respond back. 4:00 p.m. Came and went and owner was not on site and she did not call or text me back .
Finally after checkin time I finally get a call from the husband. He met us 15 min later and showed us the property. Susan did call later on in the day to see how everything was, which was nice.

They left us a invoice and info packet about restaurants in the area. Location is very good. Close to old town square. The unit is spotless and very quiet - which we loved.

We had a great stay, but I would have liked a more prompt response for check-in, and I would strongly recommend that future short term renters inquire about a rental agreement.

Wonderful Holiday Vacation

  • 5 of 5
Our family spent Christmas week at this beautiful town home. The location is great as it is in a quiet location but just a quick two block walk into the heart of Old Town where we enjoyed the holiday lights, shopping, and restaurants. It is also quick drive to the Poudre Canyon and Rocky Mountain National Park for snowshoeing and hiking. The home is well designed, comfortable and immaculate. Susan, the owner had the thoughtfulness to add holiday decorations to the home. Susan was very helpful suggestions for transportation, grocery stores, and things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here and would return again!
