You'll love this historic cottage for the ultimate in harmony with nature. Unique, serene, and private, it features a 180 degree view of the broad expanse of Charlotte Harbor. This cottage, built to last in 1942 from heart pine, is one of a pair of cottages sharing a spacious lot, four covered parking bays, a large deck for outdoor dining, kayaks, and bicycles for exploring the island.
Fishing is as easy as walking out into the water from the kayak launch or paddling to a sandbar just offshore. After a morning of kayaking on the bay and an afternoon of fishing, relax on the deck with drink in hand to enjoy the entertainment: dolphins, manatees, pelicans, skimmers, egrets, osprey, and an amazing sunset sky. After dark, on quiet nights, you can sometimes hear the dolphin breathing, and the stars overhead are brilliant.
Bokeelia Sun, the west cottage, has a queen bed in one bedroom and a full-size bed in the other, as well as a futon sofa. The cottage is decorated in old Florida style but also has modern creature comforts: WiFi, satellite TV, heat and air conditioning. Enjoy incredible tranquility in your seaside nest, and you’ll never want to leave. Within walking distance: two restaurants, a fishing pier, and a large marina with boat rentals.
