Galveston Cottage Rental Photos and Description
2 unit Cottage: Each unit has 2 Bedrooms + a sleeper sofa, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)
The Sugar Shack on the Gulf is a bright, breezy, well decorated vacation getaway. Built circa 1902, this quaint two-unit cottage is located just two blocks from the seawall! Sugar Shack has recently been completely renovated, from the studs up, with original hardwood floors, high ceilings and a fully appointed kitchen including granite counter tops and a glass tile back splash. The upstairs unit has one king bedroom, one twin bunk bedroom and a sectional sleeper sofa (queen) in the living room. The downstairs unit has one queen bedroom, one twin bunk bedroom and a sectional sleeper sofa (queen). Each unit has a private front and back porch where you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine, with the sounds of waves in the background. Everything about the decor of this charming two-unit cottage harkens back to it's island roots. One note: pictures of the two units were taken on different days, one sunny, one cloudy...hence the darker downstairs photos. Good light in both units.
The fenced-in, private back yard has 2 spacious decks, one for each unit, that beckon you for morning coffee and evening margaritas to the sound of crashing waves, just blocks away. Highly desirable, private off-street parking located behind the backyard fence. This home is walking distance to some of the locals favorite watering (and eating!) holes....including Captain Jack's, Saltgrass Steakhouse & ShyKatZ Restaurant.

I'm a native Houstonian, who grew up on Galveston's enchanting beaches. Sugar Shack is our second property on the island. Galveston has changed so much over the years...never been in better shape than today! My husband and I hope you fall in love with Galveston just as we have!
The proximity to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico with it's abundant wildlife and recreational activities could not be beat!
