Historic 3BR/3BA Private Home on Quiet Lane in the Middle of Old Town.

'La Casa Azul' is a gorgeous historic home in the heart of Old Town on Carsten Lane, a very quiet one-way street near the summit of Solares Hill. You'll be just a block or two from Michael's Restaurant, Mangia-Mangia, Seven Fish and Azur. Duval Street is three blocks away, and Fort Zachary Taylor Park (with the prettiest beach in Key West) is only 7/10 of a mile down Southard Street. Even the supermarket is close by. In fact, all of Key West's best attractions are walking distance from this wonderful home, set on a peaceful lane.

THE LIVING AREA...

From the street, 'La Casa Azul' is a charming conch home, but it's only when you enter that you will realize how much home is hidden behind its pale blue walls. There are hardwood floors throughout. In the living room, the ceilings have been painstakingly detailed with wood coffering. The interior living area is open and airy, but walk through the four sets of French doors and you will be in an equally elegant outdoor pavilion. Either area has enough seating fro your whole group. The custom designer kitchen has Bosch & Miele appliances, granite countertops and designer finishes throughout. The dining area will accommodate six persons.

THE POOL...

The beautiful heated pool is just a couple steps from the pavilion, surrounded by a brick patio, and lushly landscaped to assure privacy. The downstairs bathroom is accessible from the pool area for a quick shower.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS...

The master bedroom is located upstairs, with a king bed. The en-suite bathroom has twin vanities and large open shower. The second bedroom is on the main level, with a queen bed. The en-suite bathroom has an elegant pedestal sink and tiled shower. The third bedroom is also on the main level, with a twin bed. The en-suite bathroom has direct access to the pool area.

THE AMENITIES...

Central Heat and AC, Pool, Washer/Dryer, Flat Screen TV in living room with Cable, Microwave, Blender, Toaster, Fully Appointed Gourmet Kitchen, Linens and Towels provided. Last Key Realty requires a deposit of 50% of the rental total in order to hold the reservation, and the remaining balance is due 90 days prior to check in. Last Key Realty accepts payment via most major credit cards, as well as by check. Ask about our 1.5% discount for payment by check.
Fees And Taxes 12.5% tax & end-of-rental cleaning are additional. The first $100 of electric is included in monthly rentals. Rates over special events and holidays may be higher than the seasonal rate. Final rates to be discussed upon inquiry. Rate quotes provided verbally or by email are not final until contract is signed.
Discounts may be available for non-transient monthly rentals during certain times of the year. You retain the right to use, possession and enjoyment of the home during the entire period. In order to comply with City rental regulations the following also applies: Family and friends who stay at the house during the lease period must be named in the contract. No sub-leasing is permitted.

Private yet centrally located

We rented this home in conjunction with another family -- in total we had 4 parents, 2 babysitters, and 5 kids all with their own beds.

Pool was central feature of the house, family room off the kitchen was nice to keep an eye on the kids yet work on dinner, socialize, etc.

House was very comfortable, large dining room permitted meals together.

Best aspect was proximity to Duval -- its just a 2 blocks from Duval through a locked gate, about 100 yards to Truman's museum/house, a few blocks (staying inside) the Truman annex to the State Park and a well-done Eco-museum. We event felt like there was a nice little way to pop out right along Mallory Square by the Westin with a quick turn or two.

Rental agents were very accomodating and on-site manager was likewise very friendly and knowledgable...

We have been going to Key West for February and part of March for seven years. Luckily, three years ago we found Last Key Realty. Since then we have rented through them and their representatives. We are treated as friends, not snow birds, and any problems are quickly cared for from Healthcare to Refrigerator Care. Shel even helps us unload a Suburban loaded to the roof top.
Casa Azul is a charming Conch house in the Historic district, centrally located, yet quiet, with off-street parking and all the amenities one needs.
Thank you Last Key for helping us forget the winter doldrums in upstate New York.

Fabulous Rental Home In Key West

I rented La Casa Azul for the month of December 2012, and was very pleased with the rental experience. The house was very clean and well equipped. The pictures of the property accurately depict the house. What you see is what you get, however, the outdoor pavilion and pool are actually much nicer than they appear in the pictures. Because the back yard is so private and secluded it is a great area to spend time in what feels like a tropical paradise. Unlike some rental properties where you get there and something just isn’t right, everything was perfect at La Casa Azul. If you are looking for a well appointed cozy historic home in a great location in Key West, this is it.

The Guest Services Manager, Shel, really made the experience in Key West fantastic. He welcomed me to the property and shared a lot of insights about Key West from shopping to restaurants. I have been to Key West many times but still learned a lot. When it came time to leave, my luggage was over the airline's weight limit and Shel kindly agreed to ship items to my home to solve the problem. On two occasions I contacted him for help with minor items and he was at the house in less than 15 minutes. Shel provides truly amazing service and he is a very nice person. It feels like you have a friend in town even though you are from out of town.

Beautiful home, full of character!

My friends and I planned a trip to Key West and decided to stay at Southernmost Belle. We were very happy when we arrived and saw the house in person.
This house is located in a very quiet historic district, but is only a short walk from the front gate to down town Key West! The house is very large, giving everyone a place of their own to get away from it all. The beautiful wrap around porches with wicker furniture and thick cushions just beg you to curl up with a book!
The pool is warm and very inviting!
We all had a great time in Key West, this house is perfect for large families that need room to spread out or for several families on a vacation together!
Loved the history in this home, but also enjoyed the modern kitchen and updates!
We will certainly go back to Southernmost Belle! Beautiful home, great fun!

Fantastic location, beautiful home!

We have been renting in Key West for ten years now, and this year was our first time renting "Southernmost Belle". We have already reserved the house for next year, and now wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. The location is unbeleivable, with EVERYTHING in Key West within walking or biking distance (bikes included with the house!). The house is a beautiful 1920's restored/updated mansion with every amentiy that you could want. If you have a large group going to Key West, this is the house you want!
