Nice Low-Key Maya Beach Cabin
This is a laid-back, cost-effective choice for staying in Placencia on the Caribbean Sea coast. The property has good beach exposure, great views of False Caye off the coast, and easy access to the amenities at the Singing Sands Inn next door.
The cabin is well-equipped, with plenty of towels, pots & pans, and bedding. The futon folds out into a bed, which our kids slept on quite well.
There is no air conditioning, but the entire cottage is designed around cooling and airflow. Being there in the winter as we were, the temperatures were always good inside, and this wasn't a problem. The internet worked well -- good ping and downlink, if quite slow upload speeds.
All in all we were happy with the Maya Moon, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy coastal spot from which to base their Placencia explorations.
