Great Vacation Rental for Our Family

My family (my parents, husband, our three college kids, and I) spent a week in this home in mid-March. The house is lovely - nicely decorated, very clean, and well-maintained. It's nicer in person than the pictures show - which was a nice surprise when we first opened the front door. The home is very spacious - we all had plenty of room. The pool and spa are very nice, but we only used them the first two days (it got rather cold). The grill, kiva, and putting green were great. Since it was rather cold for swimming, we practiced our putting skills. Lots of fun! The kitchen was nice and spacious for multiple cooks and family hanging out visiting. Some basics are provided - dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. which always is nice. The rental agent was very helpful. The owner was great, and very responsive to our requests. In fact, one of the reasons we chose this particular home was that the owner personally called me. The house fit the bill, and that responsiveness sold me. I'm sure if we'd had any problems, they would have been handled promptly and equally well. The neighborhood was very nice. We went for walks day and night - well lit, safe, and friendly. We even saw a bobcat our first morning on the trail in the wash/wild area. The house is landscaped beautifully front and back. We enjoyed seeing all the unfamiliar birds and plants. We were visiting our son who attends Arizona State in Tempe, so we had a bit of a drive there. The freeways made the trip quite fast and easy. We went to a Spring Training game at Salt River Fields (beautiful baseball facility), visited the Musical Instrument Museum (try it - much more fun than you might think), and toured Taliesin West (always interesting). I would also recommend Chompie's Restaurant, known as Arizona's New York deli which is an accurate description. They have a huge menu - even healthy items which I didn't notice the first time we visited. If you bring in your spring training ticket stub, Chompie's gives you a 20% discount. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone.
