Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 6). It is approx. 125 sq. ms in size.

Pollclabber Cottage is situated in a quiet rural idyll, yet only three miles from the wild Atlantic Ocean. There are magnificent walks straight from the cottage on quiet rural roads and green pathways, with views of the sea and the Aran Islands. Horse-riding, hiking and biking on the green roads close by, brings one out onto the Burren, a limestone karst national park area with its unique flora and fauna. For outdoor enthusiasts, fishing from the rocks, surfing at Fanore and Lahinch, golfing at the links courses of Lahinch and Doonbeg, caving and rock climbing nearby may whet your appetite. Ballyvaughan, 20 minutes away by car, hosts an art college and restaurants. Northwest Clare boasts many cultural and archaeological sites including the famous Pollnabrone Dolmen. Galway city, an hours drive away, is a vibrant hub of Irish life and arts.

Keywords: Pollclabber Cottage and stone outhouses, approximately one hundred years old, restored, modernised and extended in 2009 is set in an oasis of 2 Ha of farming land. The cottage, with a babbling brook flowing through the front garden over a series of small falls, is located in stunning scenery down a private lane. The sunsets over the Aran Islands are truly amazing.

Even though Pollclabber cottage was a ruin when we bought it, we fell in love with the oasis feel to its beautiful setting and the stream running under the road and down through the field in front of the cottage. We felt it oozed potential.

Pollclabber Cottage is a pure rural idyll, with amazing walks. I adore that moment when I reach the crest of the hill just before the house and the Aran Islands come into view across the sea. It manages to take my breathe away every time. It revitalises and re-energises me every moment I spend there. I hope it does the same for all our visitors to Pollclabber

Wonderful Cottage

What can we say other than Outstanding. The cottage is gorgeous - beautiful decorated - there was nothing missing - everything was there. The Owners - Helen and Se' were wonderful to work with, attentive to details and went out of their way to may you feel welcome and that all was working for the renters. Also - Christy and Bernadette made sure that all was taken care of and if you happen to need them - they were there to help. The area is beautiful - close to the Atlantic - with beautiful views and lots of area to explore. If you go - you must visit Doolin and the wonderful pub - O'Connors - we were there for the music and the great food. All in all - the 2 weeks that we were at the cottage were lovely and cannot wait to go back again. Maybe next time we will have some warmer weather and not so much wind. If you get the opportunity - go and stay at the Pollclabber Cottage - you will not regret it at all!

Boy was it worth the drive

A little hard to find for us Americans but boy was it worth the drive. The house is wonderful! We couldn't have asked for better. So warm and welcome. Just like being at home only better. We are here in beautiful Ireland. You have done the remarkable with the house, from the simplistic design to the high quality appliances and furnishings and the elegant taste. This house has made our stay in Ireland a pleasant one. You have thought of everything. Nothing like a great game of table tennis to get all the family involved.

We spent a really nice week here in the cottage, enjoying the beautiful landscape. The weather was fantastic, which made it possible to explore the region, including Burren way, Ailwee cave, Galway, Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands.
There is really lots to see here, even though you can still enjoy the quietness.
Best wishes

We loved staying at Pollclabber Cottage. The home was beautifully decorated, immaculate and in a scenic tranquil setting. The home lacked for nothing. We enjoyed coming home from a full day of sightseeing and lighting a fire in the stove and talking over our adventures for the day. There are many things to do near the cottage, traditional music pubs, Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, ringforts, and beautiful coastline areas and beaches. Helen the owner was most kind, prompt and helpful with any questions we had, and even offered suggestions of what to do in the area. You will be very happy you chose Pollclabber. It was our first experience in Ireland and Pollclabber Cottage started us off in a very positive way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pollclabber Cottage. The property is located near the ocean and within a short drive of many picturesque towns and attractions. From this property we explored Loop Head, Galway, the Cliffs of Moer, the Aran Islands, Doolin, Ballyvaughn, Kilkee, and many towns along the way. We also enjoyed many walks around the immediate area (the owners mapped out several different walks). The property was new and very well equipped, and we loved the wood stove. Pollclabber Cottage is roomy and cozy at the same time. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants to explore County Clare and beyond!

The area is full of stone forts, megalithic tombs, ancient churches and monuments, castles etc. The Burren is a unique limestone area with rare flora which mainly flower in May. Lisdoonvarna is host to a matchmaking festival in September and Doolin has wonderful traditional Irish music in the pubs in the evening time.
