Welcome to 'Bower Place', our lovingly restored 1930s cottage, located in a residential area just minutes from Historic Downtown and Bathhouse Row.
Our cottage has been fully updated, and features an open kitchen/living combo design with great eating bar. It is comfortably furnished and tastefully appointed with art and decor from world travels by the owner. Bower Place features a master bedroom with king size bed, an optional add-on second bedroom with queen size bed, and one full bath. Guests will also enjoy the delightful covered front porch, complete with period style Adirondack chairs. The property is located on a spacious residential corner lot, across the street from forest that is part of Hot Springs National Park.
Hot Springs is the only American city nestled within a National Park and takes its name from the natural thermal waters that flow from 47 springs on the western slope of Hot Springs Mountain in the Historic Downtown District. It is known as America's first resort, and is the boyhood home of President Bill Clinton. Hot Springs is rated number four of the Best Small Art Towns in America. We often think of Hot Springs as the land of 10,000 things to do. In addition, it is just 45 minutes from Little Rock and the airport!
Hot Springs has been a tourist mecca for generations and boasts, in addition to the thermal waters of the springs, great restaurants, live music/concerts/theater, art galleries and events, botanical gardens, horse racing at Oaklawn, family fun at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, antiquing, riverboat cruises and lots of shopping! ADDITIONAL NOTE ON BOWER PLACE: Our restored 1930s cottage is located on Bower, an older residential street in Hot Springs, featuring mostly smaller bungalows and cottages of the 1920s and 1930s. Some of these properties (including ours) have been nicely restored, while a few others are still 'diamonds in the rough', waiting for creative restoration. If you are seeking a relaxing, residential location, with older homes and long-term neighbors, yet just minutes from the 'traffic, noise, hubbub and excitement' of the Historic Downtown District, with it's unique dining, art galleries, shops, live entertainment and Bathhouses, you will LOVE Bower Place. If, on the other hand, you are seeking a private gated, condominium and/or resort style accommodation, featuring new or newer construction on or near the water or golf, further away from the Historic Downtown District and Bathhouse Row, please consider an alternative rental choice for your vacation planning.
