Peace and privacy await you at this Mid-Coast Maine retreat. Surrounded by over 75 acres of conservation land with coastal trails, you’ll enjoy acres of private woods and waterfront with dock, deep-water mooring, tide pools, and a mini beach. Seals sun themselves on rocks and cavort in the water just yards from shore. Eagles and osprey soar overhead while coastal birds dive for fish, and you relax with sunset views from land or water.

Living space at Plummer Point is divided between a comfortable year-round deck house and two rustic summer cabins “a stone’s throw away.” The main house offers views from inside and out: 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a gracious living room with wood-burning fireplace insert, dining room that seats 12, a fully-stocked kitchen, office space, a cathedral-ceilinged screen porch, and a wrap-around deck. The house has central heating. One cabin holds 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The other cabin offers a comfortable lounging area focused on a granite fireplace, as well as a small kitchen and another screened porch. Books fill both the main house and cabins! Wireless broadband internet reaches from the house to the cabins – and of course to the decks and porches too!
Without leaving Plummer Point, you can spend your days peacefully hiking, birding, fishing, reading, watching lobster boats, playing games, and enjoying the stately pines that surround you. Right out the door, you can hike the trails, sail, canoe or kayak in the tidal Damariscotta River, seek the geo-cache, play croquet, swim out to the seals, discover the property’s historic quarries, or create your own active adventure! Three generations of kids and parents have loved playing and inventing games in the clearing, on the shore, along the trails, and among the trees – you will too!
From the peaceful seclusion of Plummer Point, you can easily venture to Maine’s vibrant summer scene. A short drive from Plummer Point brings you to restaurants, lobster pounds, Pemaquid lighthouse, historic Fort William Henry, golfing, antique dealers, shopping, and many other coastal preserves for hiking and boating. Not far away, you’ll also find museums, summer theater, concerts, ocean cruises, and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
