This house was purchased as a family getaway. We love the house and wish we could be there more and would love to share our little paradise to those who can appreciate the amenities the house has to offer. My husband is an avid bass fisherman and I am an avid shopper/theme parker. The combo works great...he fishes and I go play with friends and family at the parks and malls. The kids love it, Dad gets his fun and so does Momma!
Patty Deremer purchased this house in 2010
I have been searching for the perfect house on Lake Toho for 10 years. As soon as I found this house on the internet I knew it was the one. We specifically wanted a home on this lake because of the bass fishing and access to other lakes through the lock system built by the Army Corps of Engineers.
The property is extremely peaceful with a feeling of being in the country, but only minutes from all Orlando has to offer. Close to Disney, Epcot, MGM. Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Wet n Wild, Bass Pro Outdoor World, GatorLand, Reptile World, Prime Outlets, Premium Outlets, Florida Mall, Mall at Millenia, Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach
Our family chose this property because of the great fishing potential and to balance out the heavy crowd experience of the theme parks. We were unable to rent a boat as there were no marinas on the lake to rent from. That was the only drawback to our visit. Our children all thoroughly enjoyed the pool and spend lots of time fishing off the dock. There were daily sand hill sightings along with a host of other birds. The highlight of our trip, despite all the theme park visits, was the day we went out on an airboat, saw all kinds of wildlife up close and snapped some awesome pictures. We were drooling at the prospect of paddling on Shingle Creek, but we had run out of time to try that...Renting this home was quite a splurge for this family, but we are glad we did it. It was a welcome respite after an active day at the theme parks....
Excellent Condition upscale home wirh all the amenities. A little off the beaten path but worth it. Dock is great place to watch the theme park fireworks nightly.
The owner Patty was very nice and helpful. We had a few issues with the home the first few days and she was extremely responsive and had servicemen there the next day. Home has a fantastic layout, lots of room, huge shower in the master bedroom- and a fantastic fishing lake. On our first day out we caught several 2-3 lb bass right from the dock. We hired a guide and on my son's first fishing trip he caught an 8lb bass! Beautiful sunsets, great location, gated community and a beautifully landscaped lot....you won't be sorry with this home. This home was perfect for our large family and their spouses. Truly a home away from home...so much so that when the kids left, we kept calling Patty to extend our stay- we didn't want to leave!
We had an awesome stay in this beautiful home away from home. The house is everything it's as advertised and more. I fished the lake while the girls went to Disney, Universal etc. I plan to make this a yearly retreat and can't wait to go back.
Incredible home in a safe family neighborhood. Awesome kitchen well equipped for all our needs. The family room was spacious with lots of seating and the game rooms were enjoyed by all. We were a family of 10 with 8 adults and 2 children.
The Master Suite was huge and looked more beautiful in person than photos supplied on the website. All beds and baths were large and comfortable.
The pool and hot tub were fabulous too with convenient outside bar and grille for everyone to enjoy.
The lake was so quiet and peaceful and fishing was enjoyed by all. We drove and brought our Bass Boat and found easy access to the lake from Richardson's Fish Camp just a short distance from the house.
We visited Universal Studios and Downtown Disney which were less than 30 minutes away.
We all agreed it was one of the best family vacations ever and we hope to return for more fun in the near future!!
This home was by far the best home I have stayed in on my many trips to the Orlando area. It was beautiful both inside and outside, and well equipped with everything that was needed. This is a house where if anything the website information understates the amenities and the comforts of the home.
It is an incredibly peaceful retreat at the end of a busy day. Moreover despite its "country feel" and backing onto the lake, it was surprisingly close to major attractions which we found very easy to access. We were all bird watchers and were treated to a daily display of a variety of birds, including at least two close sitings of the bald eagle referred to in the website information.
All in all a wonderful experience for everyone in a wonderful home in a wonderful setting.
