Beautiful, spacious, 3200 sqare foot, 3 level home in San Francisco’s best neighborhood on a quiet tree lined street. The Castro is hip, vibrant, and almost always sunny. Public transportation, great restaurants and shopping are just steps away. This home has WiFi throughout and is a 5 BR/4 bath house that sleeps up to 14 with three Queen beds, two full beds, and 7 twins. The main level has high ceilings, crown moldings and hardwood floors, with an open concept living/dining and kitchen. Kitchen has heated floors and is fully equipped with cookware, beautiful dishes, spices, etc. Sliding doors open out to a slate patio with trees and flowers and outdoor seating. There is also a new Weber gas grill BBQ. Wood burning fireplace in living room, a 55 ' flat screen TV and DVD player. There are two bedrooms on this floor, one with a double bed and one with a queen bed and an en suite bath with walk-in shower. There is also a full bath on this level, as well as a washer/dryer.
Upstairs on the second floor there is a master suite with gas fireplace and seating area, huge bathroom with large soaking tub and huge shower with a rainforest shower head and additional wall jets. The bath has top of the line finishings, custom tile, double sinks, heated floors, and granite countertop. The queen bed is made with luxury linens and there is a 42” Flat screen TV with blue ray player.
There are two additional bedrooms on this level, one with a full bed and a twin trundle that pulls out, and the other has bunk beds and ensuite bath. and the third bedroom on this floor has access to this same bath through the hallway. The bath has a large jacuzzi tub, shower above that, glass shower screen and custom tile.
On the third floor there is a family room with skylights, gas fireplace, Wii and many games, ping-pong table, and day bed (twin), with an extremely comfortable double sofa sleeper (no bars, it's like a real bed), and three twin platform beds. Since it is a private space (this room takes up the whole floor) we use it as a 6th bedroom as well.
We try to combine the best of being in a hotel with the warmth and comfort of a home, and to that end we have spa robes in the bathrooms, chocolates by each bed and a chilled bottle of excellent California wine waiting for you upon your arrival.
This is a great house for families as the kids can be in the third floor rec room entertaining themselves and the adults can socialize two floors down in the main living room area.
There is Wifi throughout the entire house.
From our location, sightseeing in San Francisco starts when you leave the house. We are located in an historic neighborhood three blocks away from the Antique Trolley Line and the MUNI metro. We offer easy access to San Francisco's most popular sightseeing destinations. We are located two short blocks away from supermarkets, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, spas, shopping and most anything else you may want. Come enjoy the best SF has to offer!

We are San Francisco natives who love our city! This neighborhood is so vibrant, sunny, interesting and central to the whole city, we couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Come and enjoy this beautiful home to enhance your experience of this amazing city!
We chose this neighborhood as it is in the geographic center of SF. It is close to everything, has great vitality, and is almost always sunny. The Castro has some of the best restaurants and shopping in the city, all within a few blocks of the house.
This is a great house for large families. Our third floor recreation room is two flights up from the kitchen/ living room area, allowing adults to enjoy some private socializing while the kids have a great time upstairs playing ping-pong or video games on our 55 inch flat screen TV. The main floor is ideal for large family meals, enjoying each other while a warm fire is going in the fireplace.
We came over for my sons wedding needing comfortable space for 8 people ranging from 84 to 17 years of age.
The house was perfect. The bedrooms were spacious and it had plenty of bathrooms to accomodate us all. The downstairs area with the open plan kitchen/diner was a great place to relax and get together. The location was great with excellent transport links, nearby supermarkets and restaurants Sharon helped us with a parking permit, however we did manage to get our large 8 seater hire car into the garage. We did meet Casey who checked we were happy and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
We were looking for a house that could accommodate 8 family members comfortably in a robust location. We found our match in the Castro district with this home. First, the house was absolutely spotless from top to bottom. Second, there was plenty of room for our entire party - each couple and both teenagers had their own rooms and access to one of the four bathrooms –there was no arguing over who was using them. The bathrooms were well appointed with plenty of clean towels, soap and shampoo, and soft robes. Third, with my brother and I being the ‘cooks’ of the family, we were more than happy to see the kitchen well stocked with basic provisions, high-end appliances and sufficient kitchen tools to meet our discerning needs. The only thing that was really missing were sharper knives! Regardless, we were able to cook problem-free five of the six nights of our stay. Finally, the garden area was also great with a BBQ where we all took turns basking in the sun and enjoying the December SF weather.
The home was very well located and within walking distance to interesting areas such as Castro, the Mission District and Haight-Ashbury. It was also a surprisingly short underground ride to the Union Square shopping district, Chinatown and the Ferry Terminal. For groceries, a Safeway and Whole Foods were close by (within a 15 minute walk) as well as a couple of convenience and liquor stores within an even shorter distance.
In summary the house was everything as advertised. Sharon was great from start to finish – we could not have asked for a better host. She even helped us get a parking pass for the week. We would not hesitate to rent this house again next time we are in San Francisco – perhaps even next year!
Flew in from Philadelphia PA to celebrate my 65th birthday with my 2 daughters, sons-in-law, and 3 grandchildren (ages 3-10 years).
Our holiday at Sharon's home was perfect. The ambience of the home and the location were so much fun. The third floor was a major hit with ping pong tournaments! The back garden was gorgeous. Master bedroom/bath were glorious! We took full advantage of Castro and all that San Francisco has to offer.
Pictures do not do justice to this home.
This house was perfect for my extended family of 12. We range in age from 76 to 5 and all had a terrific time in San Francisco and in this beautiful home. The home owners were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. The home is in a safe, convenient location and although we had two rental cars we did not need to use them to sightsee in the city.
We loved it!
My husband and I along with three married children, spouses and grandchildren, 14 in all, thoroughly enjoyed this rental house. My granddaughter, 6 years old, said the first day that we must rent this house every time we come to San Francisco. The house is wonderful and felt like home. We were close to the muni line, only a few blocks away. We walked to the grocery store, several times. Ideal for families with large play room upstairs. The owner, Sharon, was wonderful to work with. I wish we could have met at some point. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.
We were lucky enough to have stayed in this beautiful home in the Castro for a week leading up to Easter. We had two young children in tow, so the bunk beds worked out perfectly, and the upstairs playroom was awesome, they had a ball. Also has two grandparents, so having a bedroom on the main floor with en suite was great. All of the bathrooms had heated floors (very luxurious), and the master bathroom was very large/spacious.
We were walking distance from a tremendous number of restaurants/shops, and there was a metro depot just two blocks away, which we used almost every day to jump out to different parts of the city. Overall this house was very comfortable and we quickly felt at home. The owner(s) were very attentive and provided everything we needed to make it a care free family vacation. I would highly recommend this house!
We are located in the geographic center of San Francisco, in a neighborhood that is almost always sunny. SF can be foggy and cold in the summer, but not at our house! We are on a quiet dead end street, but we are 3 blocks from great restaurants, cafes, gourmet grocery stores and shops. We are also 3 blocks from public transit that takes you all over the city. We are the perfect home base for a relaxing, comfortable, wonderful vacation.
