Quiet, private waterfront home on Sebago Lake. Bring your boat for great fishing and swimming on big Sebago Lake or Jordan Bay. Association beach is 100 yards from the house. Enjoy a campfire in firepit near the water or start up a fire in the wood stove during the colder season. Enjoy beautiful mornings on the deck watching wildlife and silent trollers fishing in the early hours. Savor the day watching brilliant sunsets on the deck or from the dock. Read a book or just listen to the water lapping against the shore. Modern kitchen with all the amenities to make a home-cooked meal. Cable in three rooms and wireless throughout the house to stay in touch or not.

Sorry, no tents or RV's.

Attractions Nearby: Seacoast Fun Center is 15 minutes away for lots of kid friendly fun. Winery nearby for tours and tastings. Gift shops within a few miles for local crafts and artwork. Great restaurants for nightlife entertainment and quiet, intimate meals. Frye Island Ferry is less than a mile away for a biking/hiking/restaurant adventure on Frye Island. Don't miss Frye's Leap - a very large rock from which scores of extreme divers like to jump into Sebago Lake.

Lovely lakeside cottage

  • 4 of 5
My husband and I had a nice vacation at the cottage. It was very cozy and well appointed. This cottage gives you the luxury of being located on the quiet cove but are only a few steps away from a small beach overlooking the entire lake. I would recommend this rental in a heartbeat.

Beautiful, Peaceful Cottage

  • 5 of 5
We just had a very relaxing vacation week staying at the cottage. The weather was perfect and my wife and three girls (7,4 and 2) had a wonderful time. The beach is a very short walk from the cottage which makes it easy with kids as we could run back and forth to grab lunch, use the bathroom, etc. As the beach is for the association use only most days we were the only family there - we did get the opportunity to meet some of the other cottage owners in the association who were extremely nice and hospitable.

At night my girls had a great time chasing fireflies and sitting by the fire pit making s'mores. After the kids went down, my wife and i would sit on the deck and enjoy a couple of drinks while enjoying the view of the lake - definitely need a little bug spray as you'd expect but overall not too bad.

We did take a couple of day trips to both Storyland (about an hour and 5 minutes) and to Santa's Village (about an hour and 50 minutes)...not exactly close by but still a manageable scenic car ride that the kids did enjoy.

My wife was very pleased with the cleanliness of the cottage and also to find all the necessities in the kitchen. Most nights we would eat out on the deck which the kids really enjoyed as well.

Overall a very relaxing week and we were very pleased with the property and beach. Well worth the price and i would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5
Just got back from spending the two best weeks of the summer in the best cottage we have ever rented. Well equipped, huge deck with beautiful view and the beach is only a very short walk away. Quiet but easy access to all area attractions and a short walk to the Frye Island Ferry.
Can't wait to go back and have my morning coffee on the deck. Thanks Dave & Mary Ann!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5
Just got back from spending 2 of the best weeks of the summer in one of the nicest spots in Maine. I had my coffee in my living room this morning and realized how much I was missing having it on the deck. The cottage is well equipped - nothing left to chance. The location can't be beat - if it is windy on the beach and come back to the cottage and enjoy the deck and vice versa. Swimming at the beach was good and would be really good for little kids. Walking the road through Wild Acres and down to the ferry landing was something we did almost every morning. So quiet yet so handy to all attractions. I've never seen so many different kinds of waterfowl in one place - and a pair of Hummingbirds almost everyday! Our children (22 & 24) came the middle weekend and we had a blast. Can't wait to go back next year. Neighbors are friendly and made us feel welcomed at the beach. Thanks Dave & Mary Ann - your place is awesome.

A Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5
I had always wanted to visit Maine during autumn, and this cottage had a beautiful view from the deck. I was able to take great photos of foliage reflecting on the lake off of the dock. The area around the home was so quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. The home was equipped with everything we needed, including a lobster pot; cooking lobster was something that we've never done before and made our trip even more memorable! Every room was extremely clean, comfortable and we immediately felt at home. Shops and groceries are a short drive into town, and Portland is a pleasant drive down rt. 302. I would highly recommend this cottage where you can enjoy the full experience of Maine. I plan on returning as soon as possible!
