The Pine Forest Retreat is centrally located in the heart of beautiful Bend, Oregon. One block from the Pilot Butte hiking trail, 5 minutes from the Old Mill District and downtown Bend, this home is 25 minutes from Mt. Bachelor and the high lakes. Vacationers can find many activities in Bend including hiking, biking, skiing, rafting, kayaking, fly fishing and shopping. Downtown Bend and the Old Mill District have a variety of antique stores, restaurants, and retail shopping. There is nothing more enjoyable than a stroll around the Mirror Pond at any time of the day! Visit historic Pine Tavern for lunch or dinner and enjoy the outdoor patio dining in the summer.

The home is beautifully but practically decorated in a cabin-like décor. This non-smoking home is designed to handle large families or groups of friends and is kid-friendly. It is located on ½ acre where local deer and squirrels are common sights. The large, fenced, private backyard features a patio and gas barbecue. Dine out on the patio and enjoy the quiet of the Larkspur neighborhood.

The master bedroom has a king bed, armoire with a flat screen TV; the hunting bedroom features a queen bed; the snowflake bedroom has a queen bed and a pack and play is provided for families with an infant or toddler. The pine tree bedroom features a bunk bed and trundle bed to accommodate four people. The living room has comfortable seating for all, a 42” flat screen TV, and a gas fireplace surrounded by local lava rock. The dining table can seat up to 10 people. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge for vacationers who need Internet access. Each bathroom has a blow dryer.

Why Donna Bergmen chose Bend

This home is 3/4 a mile from the home we owned from 1979-83 when we had to leave our beloved Bend for California's Central Valley. For 25 years we have stayed with friends and now we can stay in our own home and share the beauty of Bend with others.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy getting coffee at the Looney Bean downtown and walking around the Mirror Pond and Downtown Bend neighborhoods. In addition, the skiing at Mt Bachelor is great! My husband is an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman and Bend has all of that to offer.

absolutely fabulous

We went with 3 families. 10 adults and 1 2yr old. We loved the house. Everything was great. The yard is huge, which the baby loved. Donna is sooo helpful. She answered any questions we had and even sent us events that would happen during our stay in Bend. It was a great experience all around, and we will be back

Great place for kids!

Six kids, two mamas and one grandma all had a wonderful time here. The fenced backyard and the fantastic playground at the nearby park were definite hits with the kids. Although the house is in a "neighborhood", it's quiet and feels like country. And Bend is a fun town to visit: good food, shopping and REINDEER right down the road in Redmond! We're looking forward to coming back in the spring!

Wonderfully warm and well-accommodate place!

We LOVED your place!! Thank you for making it so wonderful - we lacked for nothing.
And, the 5 and 1 1/2 year old loved your toy cupboard. It was such a great place to relax between the moments of activity and busyness during the wedding celebration we were there for.. We even cooked a dinner there one evening and included the bride and groom.

I will definitely pass the word to many others about what a wonderful place this is!

We had a wonderful stay here last week. It was clean and very comfortable, and we loved spending time in the backyard. The home in situated in a lovely neighborhood that is close to town. We will definitely be back next time we visit our family in Bend!
