I wanted to find the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay for an extended weekend in Charleston. We had never been to Charleston before and heard it was lovely. I am so lucky to have stumbled upon this beautiful apartment. One of the best parts was working with the owner, Elizabeth. Before the trip she was very helpful with suggestions to local restaurants, activities, etc. With her help, we made reservations and planned activities for our weekend ahead of time. When we arrived we were very excited to have a private parking lot, since parking in Charleston is a nightmare... and because of the PERFECT location, we could walk everywhere. The apartment itself is very cozy and had the charm you would expect of an old building. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. You will appreciate the refrigerator for keeping delicious leftovers. My boyfriend enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the rocking chairs drinking a glass of wine and looking over the street...a great way to relax while I dressed for dinner. I personally took full advantage of the full length mirror in the room, which is usually missing from standard hotels. The location felt very safe and private. I would highly recommend staying here. You will have a perfect location for visiting all of historic Charleston as well as a very charming apartment to stay in with full amenities including a washer and dryer (even a wine bottle opener!). We could not have had a better experience. Elizabeth was a dream to work with, accommodating in every possible way. There was no pressure for check in/ check out times. I will definitely stay here when we come back, which we plan on doing.

My Fiance and I stayed at this lovely Charleston apartment over MLK weekend in 2014. We had a place cancel on us last minute and the morning we were supposed to arrive in Charleston I found myself frantically scrambling for a place to stay. Luckily Elizabeth came to our rescue, and saved the weekend!!! She was so incredibly flexible and understanding, and her patience with the situation was sooooo appreciated. Elizabeth was incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to deal with!!

Now to her lovely apartment. It was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway, and I would definitely stay there again. It is a spacious studio apartment with a full kitchen! It is a beautiful apartment in a beautiful historic building. The best part about this apartment is that we parked our car (in the apts private parking spot behind the house), and barely drove for the rest of the weekend. Everything to make a great weekend is in walking distance. We walked to 4&5 star restaurants, the free market, historic parks and buildings, and the battery. Charleston is a lovely city and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great place to stay in Charleston

We were looking for a place to stay while in Charleston. Somewhere near downtown, not big but room to move around. Are plans were not to spend a ton of time in the place but rather a clean place to spend the evening.

This unit was perfect!!!! A little bigger than a hotel room but much nicer. The bed was comfortable and there was enough space not to feel claustrophobic. We didn't cook while we there but the refrigerator came in handy as we did try to eat breakfast at the apartment.

It is in a great location - half block from Anson, one and a half blocks from Meeting and two blocks up from Market. We could easily walk anywhere we wanted to go. And, there is a grocery store just a couple of blocks away, too.

The off-street parking was a definite plus. If you have been to Charleston, you know that parking can be an issue so having a parking place behind the building was perfect.

The balcony was nice, too. Great way to end the evening - a glass of wine and watch the world go by below you. The street light next to the building was a bit bright but not obtrusive.

The A/C unit was a definite plus, too!

Note of warning: if you have issues with stairs, this may not be the place for you. It is on the third floor but after a couple of trips up and down, it wasn't bad.

The one negative was the dusting. The ceiling fans and A/C unit were great but were in need of a good dusting. We contacted the owner and she said she would talk to the cleaning crew about that.

The owner was easy to work with. We received our deposit back promptly after our visit which was nice and she was available via e-mail and phone to answer any questions we had.

Overall, a great place to stay and we will definitely check out the availability of the unit next time we are in Charleston!

Our stay at your beautifully renovated studio apartment in an historic building in Charleston was awesome. We loved the living space including the verandah where we sat each evening with our glass of wine, cheese and crackers. What a wonderful place to sit and relax. This studio has everything you need and more. Washer/dryer, Jacuzzi tub, wonderfully comfortable bed, full kitchen and pull out twin bed if needed. Everything is immaculately clean and well cared for. In every way it embodies the elegant ambiance of the very desirable Charleston neighborhood it is in, being steps away from everything. We walked everywhere! We would definitely try to stay here again when we next visit Charleston.

This place was fantastic. Couple of blocks from the market. We brought our bikes, parked the car & never got back in it until we left. Perfect! Just what we were looking for.
