What a beautiful apartment! We loved the space and location of this apartment. The owner and her daughter met us at the apartment (the daughter helped me with my suitcase up the stairs!) and showed us where everything was. She left us a gift basket of wine, crackers, cookies etc! Very thoughtful. Everything we wanted to see and do was walking distance. Very Italian!!! Thank you for a great place to stay.
This apartment is right in the center of Florence with short walking distances to any tourist attraction: Duomo, Ufizzi Gallery, S.Croce, Galleria de Academia, and others! It is located near fantastic restaurants: Ciro & Sons (wonderful pizza), Trattoria La Madia (fantastic wine and steaks), etc. Apartment is very clean and has all necessary amenities! Angela, the owner of this apartment, met us when we arrived, showed us around the apartment, and welcomed us with basket full of wine, pasta, coffee, cookies, bread, and jam! She was very friendly, recommended us places to eat, gave us maps of the city with main points of interest, and gave us her contact information if we had any questions. Thank you Angela for being so kind and helpful! We truly enjoyed our stay! We would love to come back to Florence and stay at your apartment again!!!!
I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in May of 2014.
It is very conveniently located. It's within 5-min walking distance from the train station and within walking distance of all attractions of the old city. You will have all the amenities for a good rest and relaxation. Despite being strategically located the apartment is very quiet. The photos give a very good idea how it looks - it is quite spacious and luminous. However, beware that the apartment is located of the 4th floor in case getting up the stairs is a problem for you.
Angela, the owner, is a gracious host who give you all the information you need for your pleasant stay. Without a reservation, I would recommend this apartment to anyone. I hope next time when I visit Firenze, I can stay here.
The location of the apartment was wonderful. It was just a five minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. The immediate area had restaurants, a small grocery store and the wonderful Mercato Centrale. The Medici Chapel was just a block away and the Duomo was an easy 10 minute walk.
We were greeted by the owner, Angela, and her daughter. They helped us with our luggage and showed us around the apartment. There was a lovely welcome basket and a bottle of wine. The apartment was beautifully decorated and had a very homey feeling. When we opened the windows in the morning, we could hear the nearby church bells. It was heavenly.
Thank you, Angela. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is fortunate enough to visit Florence!
The apartment is located in a historic florentine palace within walking distance to the train station and the bus line C2, which serves the historic center of Florence. We were greeted by our friendly host Angela who helped us carry our heavy bags up the steep stairs to the 4th floor. She had arranged a basket of food supplies and a bottle of Chianti for a welcome. Everything in the apartment was in a top condition, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer combo, microwave, different coffemakers, Wi-Fi. The rooms are spacious, well lighted, nicely decorated, but also very functional. The famous central food market is around the corner, a well equipped little supermarket too. The cultural highlights of Florence are within walking distance, 3 minutes to Sta. Maria Novella, San Lorenzo with the Medici Chapel, 15 minutes to the Piazza Signorina. We stayed 9 days and felt very comfortable.
My wife and I arrived in Florence in a torrential downpour. We walked the few short blocks from the train station to the apartment and were met at the door by Angela who immediately grabbed my wife's heavy bag and hauled it up the stairs to the apartment. What a lifesaver she was. This is a great apartment, artfully decorated on the top/4th floor of a centuries old building. The apartment has been completely redone top to bottom. All fixtures and appliances are new. As you lie on your back in bed you can see the night sky and the ancient wooden beams that support the roof. You can hear the rain on the skylight(yes it does rain, but you are well-supplied with umbrellas by Angela). There is a great view out the living room window over the roofs of nearby buildings. This is a very quiet apartment. Be prepared to walk up to the 4th floor. It is surely worth the walk. Other reviewers have mentioned the bottle of wine waiting as you set foot in the apartment. We made short work of it drinking it immediately upon our arrival as our clothes dried out. Angela insisted we make sure that our wireless connection was working. Wonderful linens, plush and plentiful towels, wine, beer, snacks, a fully and stocked kitchen and a great landlady in Angela.
