This is a wonderful apartment located just a block from the Ponte Vecchio and all the wonderful Florence attractions. The six floor walk up is a bit much with luggage (perhaps we overpacked :)) - but the location cannot be beat.
Angela the owner was WONDERFUL - welcoming our group of 2 adults and 2 teens! She provided a lovely welcome basket full of Italian foods and coffee and even presented my teen with a Happy Birthday banner in Italian. Angela shared very valuable insights about a local grocery that we shopped at several times during our 6 day visit.
I would highly recommend this property - you will love it! We are hoping to return in 2014 and stay in this same location.
Thank you Angela for everything!! Ciao
This was a terrific place to stay for our three days in Firenze. The listing was definitely accurate, very very clean, and better than the images shown. The owner Angela was graciousness herself, presenting us with a gift basket and bottle of wine to help us with our first evening. The flat is extremely well cared for, and pride of ownership was obvious. The bed upstairs was probably the softest we experienced in Italy, in the past six weeks. Air conditioning was a boon to come back to after the day out in the hot sun.
We would definitely recommend this place as a very comfortable stay, can't say enough good things. I've already posted on Facebook about recommending this flat to anyone, and questions have been welcome from all my friends there. Would we come back here? Absolutely in a second.
Traveler tips: Walk everywhere. Get tickets in advance for the Uffizi, but still be prepared to stand in line to pick up the tix, then again to get in. The Pitti was wonderful! No pics at either though. The vendors one block towards the river were more expensive than the ones around San Lorenzo. Go in to the Centrale Mercato for veggies, or here is a big traditional supermarket just through the arch on Via de Bardi when you come off the Vecchio towards "home".
We had a wonderful time. Thank you Angela!
Thank you Angela, your well located, wonderfully comfortable, stylishly decorated and fully equipped apartment made our stay in Florence something special. We walked easily to all the sites Florence has to offer, and there are many. Coming back to this apartment from a day of viewing renaissance art really did feel like coming into our own home. Being close to the action is great, but also not too close, nights here are quiet and peaceful. This apartment is warmly decorated and appointed far more tastefully and completely than one expects of a holiday rental. A great stay, thank you again.
This review is long overdue, but our wonderful experience staying in the apartment is still fresh in our minds. When we return to Florence we will definitely stay in this super clean, nicely decorated, great location apartment. The owner is absolutely amazing and was very attentive to every detail. We have already referred this apartment to other travelers! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
We had a wonderful three nights in Florence and due in large part to our stay in this comfortable and well maintained apartement. From the start we felt right at home as Angela met us there upon arrival and took the time to show us where everything was and how everything worked, The location is great, nearby several good restaurants (we found our best meals in Italy in a rtestaurant we dined at twice in Piazza San Spitirto, just a very short walk from the apartment). Convenient to all the sites in florence, highly recommended !
Just wanted you to know what a terrific time we had while we were in Florence. Your apartment made us feel like true Florentines. Every day we would go out sightseeing and then have a two hour lunch, with wine of course. On the way home we would pick up things for a light supper. It was fun to shop in the little shops for bread, desert, wine, fresh pasta and everything we needed. We got to be old friends with the manager of the pastry shop at the end of the Ponte Vecchio. What a charming fellow he is and it was nice to be recognized when we walked in.
The apartment was everything we hoped for and more when we booked it. The loft bedroom is charming and it was great to have a bathroom on that floor.
Again thank you for the basket of goodies and the bottle of wine....All the best, Barbara and Mike
