Great Getaway!!

We visited S'Hummer Haven in mid-October for a long weekend (Thur - Sun). The view of Higgins Lake is gorgeous from this home/location. Was able to take a chair out on the beach and sit for quite some time enjoying the beautiful lake and blue sky. The fire pit is right on the beach, so it's easy to have your toes in the sand while you sit around the fire pit (and plenty of chairs are provided!). There is a paddle boat and canoe you can use as well if you'd like to venture out into the lake.
The home itself is big! Nestled a few homes back on a private, quiet, dead end drive, it's definitely a home where a large family can go and feel comfortable - and everyone can have their own "space" and room. They even had it decorated for "Halloween". One bedroom had a whole wall shelf full of games and puzzles that were fun to use; we were able to play some games we had never even heard of before! Also, if you don't bring your own groceries, there's a little Spartan Grocery Store about 6 miles away called Glen's Market. You can definitely save money by making your own meals in the kitchen instead of going out. Wi-Fi inside was also a plus.
I worked with Joan during communications setting up our weekend and making payment. She was so easy to work with and I enjoyed how personable her emails were.. almost like talking to a "friend" via email. The house is exactly as described on the VRBO listing; no surprises here. I would definitely stay here again.
