Our family spent a week here over Christmas and we had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for the 7 adults and 4 kids. We also hosted some extended family for Christmas dinner and still had plenty of space.
The owners take a lot of pride in their home, and it was very clean upon our arrival. They were there to greet us with a welcome gift, which was a nice touch.
The natural setting of the property made for a special Christmas, especially when it snowed on Christmas Eve. The kids had lots of fun playing and exploring in the back yard.
We will definitely consider staying here again.

Owner's Response: It is great to hear we are keeping up with the expectations of our guests!
As always, I/we extend myself to our guests, so that they feel comfortable upon arrival. When making plans so far ahead for a major holiday travel, this helps to ease the unknown.
The snow for Christmas made it even more special, & the children enjoyed it. You never know how mother nature will be.
It is nice to know that Jeff & his family appreciated our home & hospitality, & we look forward to their return, if they choose our home again for this holiday celebration in the future. Thank You Jeff!

It was a great experience for us staying at this house. We stayed here for 2 nights and at the end felt we should have stayed more. The house is well maintained by the owners. All amenities including Jacuzzi, Pool table, Ping pong were in good condition for use. The owners greeted us and also bought a welcome wine for us which was a great gesture. We were here in winter when there was snow around everywhere. So we spent most of our time at home and had fun. We have decided to visit this place again in summer.

Owner's Response: It is *Always Great* not to have to request for our guests to post reviews! When they are doing it upon themselves, it means to us.......that they had a Wonderful Stay! With this weekend get away, it definitely sounds so, as they were dissapointed in having to go, & wish they had extended their stay!
It is Always a Pleasure to meet Our Guests/Friends. The gesture of a Complimentary Beverage, is just My Special Touch in saying Thank You!
We are looking forward to the return of these or any of our guests/friends again in the future! :-)

This is a beautiful house and a wonderful place to get away! We stayed here over Christmas as a family getaway, and we really enjoyed our time here. It is very clean, from the bedrooms to the kitchen to the linens that Kathleen uses, you feel like you're at a resort. There is also so much to do inside and outside. Our kids loved the Game Room and just being able to be outside in the snow was great. My wife and I enjoyed the fireplace - especially when it was snowing outside, what a great place to be during the storm. The Sun Room is a nice room to relax or play games if there are other people in the Family Room. There is plenty of space to spread out in this house, yet it has such a cozy feeling if there are just two of you (when the kids go to bed :).
Kathleen is wonderful to deal with! She helped us with any questions we had and really made our stay what we had hoped when we planned our time away. Thanks Kathleen! We would highly recommend this house to anyone (and we already have) and we hope to be back here in the future.

Owner's Response: This Family was a Special Blessing to have during the Holiday Season. The Gift Of Giving extends further, when you have the appreciation in return! Lovely....Lovely.....Lovely.....Family'.

I have Extreme Expectations of what should be expected upon the arrival of any guests/friends. It is what I would expect myself while going through the process before arrival. When it is noticed, & expressed, I know that it extends through the Review by what is stated.

It is Always Nice to hear Wonderful things & have met our guests/friends expectations & More! I want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible like home, but also I want to make sure that it is a bit *Special*, afterall, it is a get away.....Home Away from Home! The Special Touches excites Me & gives me Great Pleasure in doing so!!

I would hope when looking for the next Holiday/Weekend get away, that Richard & his family looks us up again. It was My Pleasure working with Richard as well!

Great place to spend your vacation!
Very well maintained, very clean and well organized home.
We spent a New Year break at this place (Dec 29 through Jan 1). What a great stay!
Owner was very helpful accommodating us. It was a heavy snow storm on December 29 when we arrived, but all driveways were already clean of snow.
We had a special request to have a BBQ grill available to us in the middle of winter. And the owner cleaned up the porch and had an extra propane tank filled for us!
As I already mentioned, this home is very clean and well maintained inside. Nice kitchen with dishwasher & island. All kitchen essentials of home were available.
Huge Master Bedroom with jacuzzi, second master bedroom and 2 other bedrooms for kids were roomy and cozy with clean linens provided.
Great finished basement with bar, pool table and ping pong table is a nice addition.

Overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Owner's Response: Our guests anticipate & can't wait until their arrival. There is a lot of planning, preparation, & care that goes into their arrival, from both themselves & myself, & I like to make sure they get what they have waited for, for months before their arrival. The communications I have with our guests alleviates the unknown & anxieties. I want them to feel very welcomed, & comfortable like home.
Upon Alla, & her families arrival, I was there to greet them. What a beautiful family. Alla's husband must be proud of all of the girls in his life.
There was a heavy snow storm, so I was glad that they arrived safely. The grounds were prepared for their arrival, & their request for a BB-Q was gladly met. Afterall, it was a special holiday with special planning for the weekend menu.
I personally like to make sure that the home is clean, comfortable, well organized, & fresh linens so that our guests feel like they have all the comforts of home. Having amenities to keep everyone of all ages entertained is just an added feature.
It is nice to know that I have fulfilled their expectations, & another family left happy with their choice visiting with us, & will return. We look forward to having you, Alla & your family back in the future! :-)

First of all I'd like to mention that the pictures do not do justice. The house is so much bigger! It is perfect for couples, family, or even groups of people. We loved the entertainment in the basement! The jacuzzi was alot of fun as well! Myself and my friends all agree that we would recommend this house to others in the future, and would love to stay here again! Thanks Kathleen :)

Owner's Response: The 2 couples who visited for Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend we were very impressed with, being they were a bit younger. We made an exception, even though we are very strict with our age requirements, & it really worked out. I am glad they enjoyed our home & noted the things that appealed to them. Everyone loves the rec room entertainment, which is nice to have being you do not have to leave the home to be entertained. We look forward to their return in the future.

I could not have been happier with this rental property. My family had such a wonderful time and the home was beautiful. Very clean and well maintained. The master bedroom suite was huge and so comfortable and cozy. Also, the kitchen/dining room area was probably my favorite area of the home. It was so open and a great place for the family to hang out. We had planned on trying different restaurants in the area, but we enjoyed the kitchen area so much that we cooked a family meal almost every night whether it was using the oven range or grilling out on the deck. We did order out one night from The Backdraft bar and grill. It is located right outside the entrance to the Hideout and I would definitely recommend their food. Another one of our favorite areas was the downstairs rec room. We spent every evening playing pool or having ping pong "tournaments" with the kids. It was a great way to bond with them. We were also amazed with how close the deer came to the property. Five out of the seven days we were there we would see deer right in the back yard. The pool/beach area was another of our favorites. The lake was beautiful and clean and only a very short distance from the home.
Finally, I would like to say that the owner of the property was extremely helpful and accomodating. For months prior to our stay, there was open communication between myself and the owner and she made the entire process of planning our vacation very pleasurable and informative. Upon our arrival to the Hideout, we were greeted by the owner and made us feel very welcome. We were then given a tour of the property as well as the Hideout community which was very helpful.
My family would definitely recommend this property to anyone and we are already planning on returning here next year and hopefully for years to come!

Owner's Response: It gives us great pleasure to hear that our guests enjoy our home for their vacation get away. I felt like I knew Tracy personally from the correspondence for months prior to her & her families arrival. I try to be as informative as possible as to ease the anxities of the unknown.
Although the features of The Hideout is the *Wonderful Array of the Amenities* to keep travelers of any age entertained, it is nice to hear that the Amenities, Maintenance, & Cleanliness of the home doesn't go unnoticed!!
I also like to greet our guests to make them feel as welcomed & comfortable as possible, & if that isn't possible for some reason, there is always the lines of communication I keep open @ *ALL* times before & during their visit with us.
Finally, I would like to agree with the wonderful things Tracy pointed out during her & her families stay with us.
If I had to choose my favorite place in the home, even though it is even hard for me to say, as I enjoy many areas of our home.....it would have to be where one retires for the evening....the Master On Suite! Unfortunately, there is only 1 of those.
Giving a private tour of the home & the community is a little added touch I like to do as well, to familiarize our guests with *All* both the home & the community has to offer.
Also, it is great to hear that our home has brought people together to bond & reconnect with their families & friends!
We look forward to seeing Tracy & her family again next year & for years to come! :-)
