The Hideout is located on Route 590. It crosses an intersection @ Hamlin Corners which is Route 191. As one continues on Route 590 through Hamlin Corners it is approximately 3 miles on the left hand side. It is shortly past Qick Mart, Sports Are Us,& The Backdraft, which are on the right, & THE HIDEOUT is on the left~Across from Lake Genero. If you pass The Hideout & continue on Route 590 there is Lake Wallenpaupak, which offers boating, other water sports, & restaurants.
Within 10 minutes surrounding The Hideout there are restaurants, Weiss grocery stores, Convenient Store~right out of the Main Gate & it is 1/4 mile on the left, picnic areas (Hideout), open pit b-bques (Kundala's), churches, Claws N Paws (small live animal zoo), Wallenpaupak Golfing, & Country Fairs. Not to far of a drive for some extra activity, you can visit Montage Mountain, Cinemas, & Shopping, Steamtown & Viewmont Malls, an array of dining & eateries, etc. or Camelback Waterpark & The Crossings Outlet Shopping.
Other Activities: A few Main ATTRACTIONS are, Claws N Paws Zoo, Bushkill Falls, & Lacawac Bird Sanctuary for the Nauralist~Breath taking surroundings of Beauty.**RESTAURANTS: Aside from our own, the 10th Hole Pub/Restaurant, which offers a full menu from appetizers, soups, salads, & sandwiches, to Main Courses..there
are many others to choose from. John's Italian Restaurant~Rt. 590, Shelly's Family Restaurant~Rt.590, Ron's Diner~Rt.348, YoPo Chinese~Rt.590~(All in Hamlin), Kay's Pizza/Restaurant~Lake Ariel, The French Manor~S. Sterling, The Raintree~Greentown, The Settlers Inn & Woodloft Pines Resort~Rt.507 Hawley. **Horse back riding for the horse lovers! **The Hideout has its own camping grounds~out of the North Gate Road. Lake Wallenpaupak~left out of Main Gate down Rt.590 to Rt.507 make right.
**Family Fun Park....Golf Park Road Approximately 1/2 mile from Hamlin Corners on the left on the way to *The Hideout*. It has Paintball, Miniature Golf, Bumper Boats, Go Karts, & Water Cannons.
Golf: The closest golfing is right here in 'The Hideout', (9 hole), You can go around again if it's not too busy, And the 10th Hole Pub in the Clubhouse is just across the green to end off your day!
If you would like to take a short drive out of the community there is Paupak Hills down route 590 towards Lake Wallenpaupak (a left out of the Main Gate) ~ 10 or so minutes & Scranton Municipal (a right out of the Main Gate), off of route 348 Mt. Cobb ~ approximately 15-20 minutes away.
Additionally, Cricket Hill Golf Club & Woodloch Springs Country Club, both Semi-PVT, offer 18 Hole Courses.(Approximately 20-30 minutes or so away)
There are many other golf courses, but it all depends how far you would like to drive to take on the experience. You can always pick up The Happenings Magazine or the other local newspapers & let your fingers do the walking to find what may be of interest to you! Or you can google it on your computer, golf courses within a certain mile radiace from *The Hideout*.

Ski: The closest skiing is right here in 'The Hideout'. There is downhill skiing, cross country skiing (when permissible), snowboarding, & a tubing trail. We feature a lift with several trails, & for all of you beginner skiers we have a Bunny Hill & Ski Lessons with Pros! Big Boulder within 30 minutes & Montage/Snow Mountain a must see with skiing, snowboarding, & tubing, which also features a summer *Water Park* with water rides & spa, within 25-30 minutes away. The Cinemark Movie Theatre is also another feature @ Montage/Snow Mountain off of the same exit...The Davis Street Exit off of Route 81 South. There is also an array of *SHOPPING OUTLETS* @ The Shops @ Montage & the Famous Long Horn Steakhouse Restaurant, (for all of you Steak & Meat Lovers)! Elk Mountain & Big Bear are a couple of other favorites, & lets not forget Crystal Cabin Fever which offers winter events from mid February through March.
