Located on Fourteenth Street between Church and Dolores adjacent to the vibrant Castro District with its many shops and restaurants, this classic San Francisco sun-filled two bedroom, one bath flat is the starting point for your discovery of the city by the bay. Construction is now complete on the new Whole Foods grocery store, located less than a block away. You’ll also be just steps away from the Church Street MUNI subway station and a twelve minute walk to the 16th Street BART station, placing the entire Bay Area within easy reach. Or leave your front door to ride on one of San Francisco's historic streetcars from a stop located just one block away. This architectural gem is the lower floor of a two unit 1940’s style building. It features two bedrooms, living room with fireplace, eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, bath with tub and separate shower stall, WIFI, and shared washer/dryer in basement. The garden-facing bedroom has a private deck with views and to the shared garden. It features bay windows, original art deco design details, and hardwood floors throughout. Limited parking is available on the surrounding streets at free or metered spaces, however there is a two-hour time limit from 8am to 9pm. That being said, garage parking is available in the building at the rate of $25/night.

BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT AND FANTASTIC LOCATION

The apartment is a fantastic place to stay when visiting San Fran, we consisted of two couple's in our 20's and this place was perfect. The flat was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and had all the amenities we could wish for (and more).

The location is perfect, close to the MUNI and on the F-line which takes you pretty much anywhere in SF. It is also just round the corner from two decent supermarkets, and all the bars/restaurants in Castro. Just a short walk to Mission Dolores Park which is a great place to enjoy the sun and catch some great views of the downtown skyline.

Steve, the landlord, was extremely helpful from the start with booking the apartment, to helping with public transport directions from the airport, and even allowing us some space to store our bags for our evening flight so we could make the most of our final day in the city.

I would stay here again and recommend this place to friends or family who were planning on visiting the city.

GOOD ACCOMODATION AND AWESOME LOCATION

Visited this apartment back in February 2014. On my previous visit to SF I had stayed on Lombard Street but this time, on business but with family in tow, I needed quick access to muni and Caltrain with this apartment working out to be spot on.

Contact with landlord was seamless. Booking was easy while being able to fit in a weekend trip to Tahoe during my stay for some snow time was also much appreciated.

Apartment is on 1st (US - 2nd) floor. It offers two good sized bedrooms with enormous walk-in closets, lounge, breakfast diner and bathroom. Downstairs has access to a full equipped laundry while the garage can be rented if you need a car - recommended as trying to find a parking space near would be a challenge.

The apartment is in a good state of repair and is clean and heating if a little chilly outside of summer. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils although it would benefit from a basic larder if one could be offered. Saying that, there is a Safeway 5 mins walk away on Market Street which can supply everything you need. Didn't get chance to really benefit from the garden to the rear although I can imagine this is a sun trap in the summer. Forgot to mention, there is a great balcony next to the kitchen to enjoy the back of the building.

Only criticism, and not the fault of the landlord, would be the street noise early morning from the front bedroom. Lorries backing into the delivery area of another Market St supermarket did wake my daughter on a number of occasions at around 6am.

This is an apartment I would easily recommend. You are only 5 mins from the underground section of the muni while being next to Market Street gives access to muni trollys and buses. Good choice of not-too-expensive restaurants near by means that you don't need to go far if you want to have a night off cooking.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

This was a great place to stay for our family vacation to SF. We are a family of four with 2 teenagers. This was centrally located and near public transportation, which made getting around easy. There was also a grocery store right around the corner which was very handy. We loved the property. It was very clean and comfortable. Our only complaint would be the street noise.

CHRISTMAS WEEK IN SAN FRANCISCO

Steve's apartment was everything we could hope for. It was spacious and comfortable the rooms full of light. As all the other reviews have stated it is beside the MUNI and just minutes from Downtown and there are two large supermarkets minutes away.
Steve was a perfect host. We can't wait to return.

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY AND SEE ALL THE BEST OF SF

Not only was this apartment:

– perfectly located (steps from the MUNI, border of the Mission & Castro districts, only a few stops from downtown),

– perfectly appointed (all the dishes, cooking implements, entertainment options, bedding, and furnishings you could want),

– exactly as advertised (the pictures perfectly show exactly what it offers), but

– Steve was an excellent host. He kept tabs on anything we needed even as he was travelling on his own vacation - he was that dedicated to making sure that we had a good time.

In short, it was exactly what we wanted and at a completely reasonable price.

Next time we're in San Francisco, we hope it's available again.

PERFECT HOME AWAY FROM HOMW

We had a wonderful week in San Francisco and a huge part of it was because of Steve's nice apartment.
We came with our baby boy and really enjoyed having a place to spread out with all our stuff, having a kitchen to cook and sit on the balcony or in the living room when he was sleeping in the evenings. We were also happy to have the laundry facilities, a place to put our pram and Steve even organised a baby crib for us!
The location is absolutely perfect - quiet but still so close to public transport, nice restaurants and a huge supermarket. With the F-train, all sights were easy to access.
The apartment itself is huge, very clean and tidy and has everything you might need. Steve is super helpful and easy to work with.
The only little flaw is that you can hear people walking upstairs, but that goes with with the charme of an older apartment.

Would recommend the place and go back myself anytime!!
