Tom and Amber harvested the trees from the 200acre property. They purchased a band sawmill and began the journey of building this home from the siding to the interior oak and pine trim. All from the native timber that they harvested.
Amber purchased this house in 1981

This property was very nice, we had a great time. Needs some repairs/upkeep, but didn't hinder our stay at all. Owner is very friendly and personable. Very quiet and nice, especially for the kids that went with us. Would definitely consider staying there again.
I stayed here for a long weekend with family. Excellent stay, the house was clean and comfortable. Loved the flat top on the stove, made for easy cooking. Pool, fire pit, and badminton were all fun. Amber was a pleasure to deal with.
Highly recommend it!
We really enjoyed staying in this house. The living area was very large with a lot of comfortable seating. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchenwares, and was large and easy to navigate. There was ample parking, and it was really easy to get into Warrensburg or catch route 87 for anything that you needed. For your planning, just know that this house is still 30-35 minutes away from Gore mountain. We were told it was closer, but no matter what route we chose it was at least that far away. Overall I'd be happy to stay here again, and would love to try it in the summer to experience the pool!
We have just spent a week at this property with our three children (aged 22,20 and 16) and my sons girlfriend. We travelled from the UK and found the house ideal for a relaxing 'chill out' week but also a great base for visiting the surrounding area. We landed in Boston and the house was an easy 3 and a half hour drive from the airport and easy to find. The pool was a main attraction for us and that didn't disappoint, the whole family loved it! The house is well equipped and spacious with room for everyone to have their own space.
There is a supermarket around a 7 minute drive which is really handy and the house is about a 20 min drive from Lake George which has lots of restaurants and shops, We also did a day trip to Vermont and a day whitewater rafting.
Its a beautiful area and we would have liked longer to explore.
My family and I loved our vacation here. The house is located near alot of ammenities. We rented a boat from Boltons Landing and went horse back riding near Lake George Village, all within a 15-20 minute drive from the house. While at the house we hiked all the trails and had a camp fire each evening. We really enjoyed the pool also! I would have liked to have had a map of the property to see all the trails, that would have been very helpful. Overall, the vacation was terrific and we will definately go back to Lake George and to this property if it's available. Thanks to Amber for being so accomodating to us.
We had the best vacation! The house is beautiful and large enough for my whole family. We had the space to play outdoor games, swim, BBQ and sing around a campfire. The kitchen I wanted to take home! It so large my sisters and I were able to cook together not to mention my family was able to dine together. We loved the trail and porch were we spent quality time together. I will go back again in a minute. As a matter of fact, when I dropped off some family members in NJ they hugged and kissed me and said "it was the best vacation yet, when can we do it again!". Thanks Amber, you made me their hero!
