Our home, American Idyll, is a 2 bedroom cottage perfectly located within Carillon Beach -- right across from the beach. Two minutes after leaving our brick patio, you will be stepping onto one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Just a few feet away from the dune walkover are two beach lounges with cushions and an umbrella, which are compliments of American Idyll. If you prefer lounging by the pool, you are also in luck. The Lake Carillon Pool, which overlooks Lake Carillon, is just a few doors away. If you want both the Beach and a pool, you can take a two minute stroll down Beachside Drive to the Beach Club Pool which overlooks the Gulf.

Our guests have unobstructed views of the beach and the Gulf from our balcony. Although American Idyll is a cottage, there is nothing limited about its design or amenities. The living room and kitchen/dining are located on the second floor. There is a sleeper sofa and a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen. The two downstairs bedrooms each have a king size bed.

Kitchen: The kitchen has granite counter-tops and full size stainless steel appliances. There is a microwave, coffee maker, blender, hand-held mixer and toaster. The cabinets contain a service for 8, glassware including wine glasses, all manner of pots, pans, baking dishes and corning ware- everything you could possible want to make a gourmet meal.

Bedrooms: There are three flat screen televisions -- one in the living room and one in each bedroom. The bed sheets, comforter and pillows are all high end and very comfortable. Each bedroom has its own bath with a shower and extra absorbent towels. (There is also a half bathroom on the second floor adjacent to the living room and kitchen.)

Garden/Patio: Outside the front door is our garden, sitting porch and brick-covered patio. If you want to watch the world go by, you can sit on the benches in the gazebo next to Beachside Drive. If you want to have a cook out or just enjoy the garden, there are Adirondack chairs and a grill on the brick patio surrounded by the landscaped garden.

Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) are $210.00 per night with a 3 night minimum stay. The weekly rate is $1,300.00.

Security Deposit: A refundable $500 deposit is required to confirm reservation and is also a damage deposit. If there are no damages, the deposit will be refunded within 15 days of the guest's departure.

The home is amazing, very clean, well organized, everything you need in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed the views as there is not a home across the street to block the view. The walk over to the beach was very nice. The guys loved Hombre golf course as we delivered them there each day and us girls went to the Shopping Center - lots of fun. Enjoyed Dusty's for dinner, little noisy, but the food was worth it. Carillon area is very nice, private and beautifully designed. We enjoyed our stay very much. Helen was super nice and left our key just as she said. Panama City has really grown.

Great Cottage!

We spent a week here the first part of October, 2011. This beach cottage is charming. The king beds comfortable. The decor very pleasant, it has a well equipped kitchen, and a great view! The walkover is across the street. The bedrooms don't have a lot of extra room but the upstairs living area seems more spacious due to the high ceilings and neutral palate, it gives it a larger feel. The owner is easy to work with! Definitely will return!

Lovely cottage which is very well furnised with great amenities. Excellent location and a spectacular view from the 2nd floor. Carillon is such a peaceful place to relax & unwind. The gated community, pools & beautiful beaches make this location unique. Every time we visit Carillon Beach, we love it even more!

First of all, the owner is soooooooo nice to deal with and made it a smooth and easy transaction to rent his place. It was a great first impression. :)
Secondly, the location is hard to beat with a beautiful view. Although a cottage, it was plenty of room for our family of four. The high ceilings, clean white throughout, beautiful hardwood floors, and nice furniture and accommodations made it a perfect week! The house was decorated in such well taste. The cottage was well stocked with NICE new kitchen appliances, cookware and dishes. We would definitely recommend anyone with a small family to stay here- they have done a great job at making it a home away from home. The beach walkover, chairs and location to pools are an added plus too! We loved it and made lots of good memories at American Idyll- my boys especially loved having a TV in their room!!! They thought that was the coolest thing! We connected our car dvd player to watch a movie or two to the upstairs tv, so that would be a nice addition in the future? Carillon is such a nice get away, you are away from the business of the crowds, but a nice drive and you can be in more populated areas. We love it! Thanks again for letting us stay at American Idyll for a week- it was one of our best vacations yet!
