Boothbay Harbor Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 3 En-suite Bedrooms, (3 Baths), (Sleeps 6)
'Penthouse' is the premier luxury condo in the 3 unit Back Bay Cottage, located on the water on the fringe of downtown Boothbay Harbor. With a/c, 2 fireplaces, radiant in-floor heat, & R-53 insulation we're comfortable in any season.
Next to the Chowder House, steps away from the footbridge, this location is both quiet and convenient. Over thirty restaurants, coffee shops, and delis, together with stores, marinas, tour boats, fishing and sailing charters, the library and even the opera house are within easy walking distance.
Built in 2006 on the site of a former fishermen's co-op dock, the Back Bay Cottage's architecture emulates the turn-of-the-20th-century 'gentleman's cottage'. Penthouses' interior combines the charming traditional 'Down-East' bead-board detail with authentic European country antiques and original maritime art and boat models.
Comforts include air conditioning, two gas fireplaces, a 'great-room' state-of-the-art country kitchen with its granite work areas separated from the living areas by a large butcher block island; a 24 bottle wine cooler, an extensive DVD video and CD music collection, Wi-Fi, stereos, flat screen TVs, gas BBQ, about 40 feet of windows overlooking the water and a deck with stunning views of the harbor.
We provide all linens, towels, paper products, condiments, a 'welcome' basket & some complimentary wine & coffee.
We have plenty of on-site parking - even for an RV.
'Starboard', the 1 bedroom/1 bath condo unit (sleeps 2) located below the 'Penthouse' can be rented in conjunction with it at discounted rates. (See VRBO # 389011)
Penthouse shares a dock & float with the other two units. Not for large boats because you have to fit beneath the footbridge, the float is perfect for kayaks, canoes and dinghys.

About Tony Seibert
This is our retirement home. I'm a property developer and boat designer, she's an European antique dealer and interior designer, and we're both ocean sailors.
We combined our talents to create the most comfortable, user friendly, casual floorplan we could envision and then surrounded ourselves with the antiques and marine art that we both love.
We hope you like it as much as we do!

Why Tony Seibert chose Boothbay Harbor
We live high in the Colorado mountains - in ski country, but we really missed the ocean - and sailing. We also like living in resorts - because of the great variety of restaurants.
So we spent 8 years exploring the East Coast in search of Nirvana - and kept coming back to Maine - looking for the right combination of small town/rustic/amenity laden/harbor town.
Boothbay Harbor combined the character and aesthetics of a small, old fashioned fishing village with the amenities of a resort destination without any extravagances.
Just large enough to have a golf course, a botanical garden, a first class 'Y', library, theatre, and some shopping, it provided enough diversity of activities without being too 'country-clubish' and with no mainstreet cookie-cutter retail.
BBH also boasts one of the largest and finest harbors in Maine - perfect for small boat sailing.
What makes this condo unique
Location, Waterfront, Luxury, Aesthetics, Did we say Location, View, Coziness, Charming, Ambiance, Understated Elegance, Comfort, And again Location.
Whether its high tide watching the kayakers or low tide watching the gulls swoop in to pick up shellfish - anytime on our deck with coffee or a drink is the ultimate in relaxation..
Then we might wander downtown - which starts at our front door - to any one of a number of the town's fine restaurants - Ebb Tide or Andrews Harborside for breakfast, or McSeagulls or Ports of Italy for dinner.
Walking is a key benefit to this location.
