This 5400 square foot log lodge is a perfect location for snowmobiling, ATVs, Mountain Biking or hiking. Our lodge sits 400 yards from the snowmobile trail head. Snowmobile or cross country ski from the front door in the winter or hop on the ATVs, bikes or start your hike in the summer. Be at the lift at Brundage Mountain for a day of Skiing in 20 minutes ( 11 miles away ) or tee off at Meadow Creek Golf Course in 10 minutes ( 6 miles away. Salmon and Steelhead fishing are also close by on the Little Salmon River.
The Big Salmon River at Riggins, Idaho is about 30 miles away. We are at the gateway for numerous trout lakes.
Idaho is a great place to be!

After 30 years in Arizona, we found this beautiful small resort town of McCall, Idaho. So we left the desert and moved here in 2001. We love the four seasons and all the recreation associated with them. We have children and grandchildren that moved here because they loved 'going to grandpa's house'.

This beautiful log lodge/home sits on 6 1/2 acres. You can enjoy the local wildlife as you overlook the beautiful Meadows Valley. One of the best advantages to this unique property is that it is 400 yards from one of the major groomed snowmobile trailheads. Summertime, from the driveway you are in to many ATV trails and fishing lakes.
We had a group of 13 and this place was the best to suit our needs for sure. Everyone had a bedroom and we put all the kids downstairs where they could enjoy the pool table and large tv. The kitchen downstairs was all theirs! Meanwhile upstairs the adults enjoyed the huge kitchen to prepare all the meals and enjoy the large fireplace and views. We came to snowmobile and having the trail system so close was just awesome especially with the low snowfall this year we had a little dirt and mud to travel before reaching the snow. We will definetaly be back. The owners are super nice people too. Thanks a bunch Clyde and Marty!
Our group had 5 families for a total of 18 people. The goal was to enjoy a long weekend ski and snow getaway. I can only add to the great reviews before by saying it was indeed as advertised. There were fantastic views at all hours. There is plenty of space to eat, sleep, and play (inside and out). There were 9 children that LOVED sledding down the steep backyard hill and playing in the snow. My son and I really enjoyed snow shoeing around the property seeing wild turkey, quail, deer, and bear tracks. The upstairs kitchen is large enough to allow 3 people to cook and prepare food and was more than adequately stocked for our large group. We hardly used the downstairs kitchen other than to store extra food and beverages or to set out snacks for kids. Everyone enjoyed the large fireplace upstairs and the guys enjoyed splitting wood and stoking the fire. The only tip I'd have for traveling during the snow season is to make sure you have 4WD/AWD or at least snow tires if you have 2WD...one of our families had a minivan with summer tires and got stuck in the snow leaving the driveway. All in all, a wonderful location and experience our group will never forget!
12 adults stayed here for a couple days of snowmobiling. Beautiful kitchen and great room. Perfect for a large crowd. Large living area downstairs, as well. We very much enjoyed our stay at this house and the owners are very nice and accommodating. Snowmobile trails are practically right out the front door. We loved our long weekend in this comfortable home.
We enjoyed our stay for a family reunion. We had 18 people aged 7-84 and there was plenty of room and things to do for all. The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of linens, and a variety of things to entertain all. We enjoyed the entire house, from the basement playing pool to the deck watching beautiful sunsets and shooting stars. We also took advantage of the proximity to the forest lands. This area has lots to do and the house was all we could ask for and more!
Clyde and Marty:
I just wanted to send you a brief note telling you that we had a great time last weekend in your home! It was perfect for our needs, and made our 50th anniversary a tremendous occasion for all 17 of us. You did a tremendous job in building the home, appropriately equipping it, and in decorating it. It is in an excellent location with outstanding views of the valley. So all-in-all, it was a great facility that exactly met our needs, and we appreciate your efforts in support of our visit. I would recommend the property to anyone.
Best wishes for you always.
We stayed a week in mid-August for a family get-together - all adults, no kids. Everyone had a fabulous time. Marty and Clyde were there to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the place and answered our questions. Everything was clean and tidy with plenty of towels and a well-supplied kitchen. The location is ideal for outdoor activitites. We went hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing/kayaking - rented the equipment we needed in McCall.
The layout of the Lodge is great for large get-togethers since you have both an upstairs and downstairs gathering area to sit around in and talk. We used the large screen TV downstairs to show old family movies and pictures. We had as many as 18 people sitting down for dinner at once - the dining/living room area can easily accomodate that many. (However, not everyone was actually sleeping at the Lodge, some stayed at a nearby home.)
The deck is great to sit out on in the evening and enjoy the view - and the stars at night!
In summation, this Lodge is ideal for family/group get-togethers with a great location, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of room to just "hang-out" and plenty of beds.
