Beautiful Farm House and Property in Southampton

My wife, 3 young children, nanny, and dog recently rented this farmhouse in the middle of farm fields just north of the highway in southampton, and it exceeded all of our expectations for comfort, scenery, and utility.
first and foremost, it is hard to describe just how beautiful the surroundings are. it's more like true farm country than the hamptons. the house is an easy drive or bike ride into southampton and sits right off of the short cuts to watermill, bridgehampton, and sag harbor. this can't be underestimated in the summer months when traffic can be tough.
in the morning, we would go out to listen to a symphony of birds the likes of which we have never heard. the sun rises right into our bedroom window (you can close the shades, but our kids wake us up anyway, so it's for us nice to wake with nature). the views are exclusive to farm fields and open meadows. the property is secluded and expansive- a lot of lawn, a fenced, setback pool not really visible from the house, a barn that subs as a man cave with foosball, a bar, and tv set-up. there is a tree house at the back of the property that the kids love.
the house is all character. there is a covered porch with a swing and lots of little and big rooms to hang out in. there is a fire pit. the attic has been converted to a sleeping loft with bunk beds and serves as a playroom- the ceilings are high, it doesn't feel like an attic. the kitchen is brand new and state of the art. the vibe is authentic country with modern amenity and comfort.
the landlord was easy going and accommodating - among other things, we needed to extend our stay and they were really cool about it. they made us feel welcome, and it felt like home (albeit one that is nicer than ours).
