Beautifully remodelled, secluded cabin in jungle setting, just steps from the beach. Perfect for couples or families (except toddlers ) Lie in the hammocks and listen to the gentle breaking of the waves, hear the howler monkeys as they scramble through the tree tops, walk along the deserted beach, or swim in the nearby rivers. There are plenty of areas to explore in and around the village, great hiking and surfing close by. A good selection of small restaurants for eating out, within a short walk. A real Costa Rican experience, but within easy reach of the more touristy places of Montezuma and Santa Teresa

I moved to Costa Rica in 1989 and fell in love with Cabuya, the village and its people
fiona purchased this cabin in 1998
Cabuya is relatively unspoilt by tourism, the local population are fishermen and farmers. the wildlife and nature is amazing, and there are plenty of things to do close by. Hiking, swimming, biking, horseback riding, kayaking fishing etc
Peacefulness, nature, buying fresh fish from the neighbours, outdoor living at its best
This Jungle Cabin, has two outstanding features: the beauty of the place where it is standing, and the care that the owners have imprinted onto the maintenance of the garden-jungle that separates the beach from the cabin.
This little cabin's backyard is a natural private beach with tall trees providing beautiful sets of shadows on top of curvy paths that lead to the ocean. That point, and the hammocks on the almost deserted beach made our stay. The neighbors are friendly and there's a cafeteria with a good selection of bakery treats.
Id recommend renting a car to go visit nearby spots and if you want to see more populated neighboring beachtowns, but you'll be safe to know that you'll be back to your own beach after your little expedition. Highly recommended for couples with or without children.
The cabin was perfect for us--very quiet, private, and beach steps away. Liked the hammocks along the beach. Melissa and her husband were very pleaant and helpful;. their two dogs were our constant companions around the cabin and on walks outside the property. A nearby hotel offered the use of their pool and also serve food and drinks if you desire.. The next door fisherman caught fish for us one day and we cooked them up in our kitchen. Everything was just as we had hoped for if you want privacy and solitude. Small wonderful bakery and small grocery store within walking distance. Close to Cabo Blanco for jungle walks.
