2 bedrooms, 2 baths with hottub on the Salmon River in Welches, OR. 15 minutes to skiing. Excellent hiking in the area.

The serene and charming Salmon River Reserve is an ideal mountain getaway less than an hours drive from Downtown Portland. Situated on two acres with 200 feet of Salmon River frontage. The Salmon River is a protected Wild and Scenic River. From the decks you will see the seasonal creek and the river, and look across an acre of meadow and upon Huckleberry Mountain.

The Salmon River Reserve is nestled amongst the Wildwood Recreation Area, numerous hiking and biking trails, spectacular fishing holes and convenient to the grocery store and great local restaurants. If you are a skier, snowboarder, telemarker, outdoor enthusiast or someone who just wants to wrap themselves in the peaceful surroundings , this is the spot.

Why The Owner chose Rhododendron

such a wonderful spot. feels like you are off in the middle of nowhere yet up the road is the grocery store, liquor store, outdoor store and the resort and golf course. Trillium Lodge is in the area of the original town of Welches. Lots of folks come up with plans to go go go. In the end they stay put with a little bit of go go added.

Rented the place for four days while boarding at MT. Hood and couldn't be happier. It was perfect for coming back and relaxing. Fire place and hot tub were great and the bedrooms were like something from a five star resort. Very comfortable rental home and would recommend it to anyone.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
