The House: One story house on a level lot (no steps), Del Mar Pointe is a waterfront getaway on a tiny natural saltwater lagoon off Washington State's Puget Sound. The water views from every room showcase the ebb and flow of the tide from high to low! From the central flag-stoned foyer, your house abounds with views of the small saltwater lagoon. In season, watch the salmon swim past Del Mar Pointe from your living room and kitchen/dining room. The comfortable bedrooms, stone fireplaces in the great room and the kitchen/family room, make Del Mar Pointe a must-stay.

The Neighborhood: Del Mar Pointe stands at the end of a tree lined country lane. The inlet just off the property's lagoon is home to a variety of salmon, seals, bald eagles and a variety of other sea life. Across the lagoon is convenient Purdy Drive, leading you to Hwy 16 and eventually Gig Harbor, Tacoma and Seattle. Del Mar Point is located just about eight minutes from the city limites of Gig Harbor to the south, and 15 minutes to Port Orchard/Bremerton to the north. Seattle's downtown is located just 60 minutes away. Del Mar Pointe sits across the inlet from a small village, named Purdy, established in 1885. While visiting this village, pick up fresh crab, seafood and the catch of the day. The shops are indoor/outdoor with colorful signage that is clearly seen from Del Mar Pointe. Save room for a mouthwatering selection at the local fruit stand. A variety of restaurants are minutes away. The Pointe also has a front row view of a rustic and historic oyster farm with oyster shed architecture established in the 1920's.

The Garden: The landscape has plenty of level lawn area and an intimate patio with a propane BBQ, perfect for outdoor entertaining and play. The lawn slopes on the property's two sides down to the water's edge. Launch your canoe or kayak from Del Mar Pointe, or travel to the half mile long natural sand bar for boating, fishing, swimming and some of Washington State's best wind surfing. Del Mar Pointe is front and center to the hustle and bustle of Purdy Drive and the village, with quick access to the Gig Harbor peninsula and beyond; you'll want to visit every year.

Del Mar Pointe was the perfect place for my family to stay while we relocated to Washington State. Very centrally located to where we wanted to be, clean spacious and comfortably furnished.

I was AMAZED with the tides! Look out the windows and see this completely full lagoon and next thing you know, its half empty. My 8 year old didn't quite understand, wondering if "did someone opened a drain or something?". It was so cool to teach her and let her see in real time how tides worked. PRICELESS!!!

Thank you Warren for helping make my transition to Washington comfortably seamless.

Our stay at Del Mar Pointe was like being home.. What I liked most was the special attention to decor the paintings, the large windows the recessed lighting and the pocket doors!.the large and well designed layout of the home allowed four women all the space we needed. We cooked up wonderful meals in a kitchen that was very well featured. The Den was our hangout and the living room became our movie room... the computer allowed us to be conveniently in touch at all times...the house had tons of closets and cabinets and all of our stuff got swizzled away and out of sight! We used Del Mar as a base from which to explore the area it's unique center location quickly became an apparent benefit as we returned home in the evenings to yet another outstanding meal and movie! Our total stay was 21 days and we never felt weary or anxious to leave, as a matter of fact the home just endeared itself the longer we stayed. Our Italian Greyhounds really never missed a beat they could simply go outside like at home and had lots of windows to look out at the geese! One morning we watched an eagle chase a gull who had an oyster in it's beak....what a thrill! to see this whole drama play out from the kitchen window! At last we had to leave and bid our home away from home a fond good-bye it served us well and we will remember our stay and how good it felt to be there...thanks Warren Marilyn & Connie Cosmo & Cira

purdy wedding

the house was large, well appointed and very comfortable. the kitchen/dining/living room area was a great hangout spot for large groups and the second smaller living room with piano and computer ended up being a quieter relaxing spot. Our stay was so perfect that I feel bad commenting on it, but the photos of the grounds fail to show that you're adjacent to a fairly busy road and strip mall area separated by a tidal inlet that empties completely at low tide. We didn't notice the traffic noise but were hoping for views across the purdy sound.

Thank you, Warren, for the return of our deposit on Del Mar Pointe which we so enjoyed. Many things....... the space worked so well for us, our 13 year old granddaughter spent much time on the piano which thrilled me. The grandsons-9 and 7 years-had a ball on the water, the family played croquet, the laundry room!!!! My goodness! The weather on wedding day was perfect, also on Thursday for the beach party. What touched me greatly were your paintings, you obviously love sky as I do and I did spend time just looking, beautiful colors, etc. Thank you for sharing these with us. And your books.
