|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Excellent location within walking distance of ocean and seconds from Great Pond. The cottage is nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and hardwood floors in the great room, new beds and spotlessly clean. We recently purchased this cottage, and love being there. It is a great location in Falmouth, and you can bike everywhere. Good restaurants, shopping and close to everything! Quaint town of Falmouth, ferry to Martha's Vineyard, walk to beaches -all is so close by, but the cottage is quiet and peaceful. Easy to explore the entire Cape, or stay in the area, it is truly hard to leave.
Amenities: The cottage has a TV in the Great Room, in addition to small TV's in the three bedrooms. Cable, wireless internet, DVD and VCR players, air conditioning, as well as a comprehensive choice of movies and books. We have added ceiling fans to all the bedrooms and a new outdoor hot and cold shower. There are two bicycles for your use. SEE MORE DETAILS BELOW
This is a very comfortable cottage, perfect for a couple(s) get away, or small family.
Towels and sheets are not available, and there is No Smoking allowed in the house.
About the Owners: We have rented in the Maravista area in Falmouth for a number of years, and have loved it.
We recently purchased our Cape Cottage and will be renting it for part of the time, as we want to enjoy it too! We are in the education field and are now empty nesters. We used Home Away to rent previously, and always treated any place we rented with respect. We hope anyone renting from us will feel the same way. We don't rent to groups of college students (sorry).
We welcome you to our home, and hope those who love it like we do, will come back.

We are Educators, who just love the beach and Cape Cod.
It is a very charming, clean, well-located property.
Location is near everything: bay, ocean, town of Falmouth, Woods Hole & all types of shopping is close. It is walkable to two great restaurants, the British Beer Company, offering informal dining with an ocean view or pub atmosphere. Also, The Casino Wharf has great food, and both make delicious sandwiches to go for a picnic on the beach which is right there. The cottage is easily accessible to the entire Cape and Islands.
More than just a rental cottage, it's a nicely decorated, well stocked Cape House, which is very well cared for.
The fenced in backyard with spacious deck allow our guests to stay close if they prefer but be so close to the water.
Perfect home away from home and centrally located for convenient day trips. The property owners were so easy to work with. Ferry to Martha's Vineyard is only 1.5 mi away which we walked in 30 mins. Great Pond is a 2 min walk with a great hiking trail that skirts the water. Local restaurants and people were great. Went to Paul's Piza and Seafood twice! Main Street in Falmouth is a must see with many restaurants, bars, and local shops. I would definitely go back again, so much to do and see.
We booked this on Home Away, site unseen, and the Cottage surpassed our expectations.
We loved the accommodations, very clean and extremely well
equipped home, tastefully decorated with everything that you could possibly need, walking distance to the water, quiet street, nice patio with a Bar B Q, close to stores for shopping and a great dropping off point for the Cape. In the Town Centre we were there at a good time, there was an art exhibit, a strawberry festival, and a music festival.
The Cape is quite unique, we explored and drove from top to bottom, everyone was friendly and we had a great time.
We were four girlfriends on our very first get away and we had lots of space in the cottage and came home ( yes, it felt like our home ) every night, exhausted from our days exploring the Cape.
It was so nice to unwind with a glass of wine.
Richard and Lynn were very easy to deal with, very friendly, courteous, and we received our damage deposit very quickly.
Property was clean and very well- maintained.
When you are going to a place where you have never been before it is hard to know the area however this location was ideal, in five days we knew where everything was, stores, grocery, antique shops, etc.
Restaurants were very good, lots of restaurants, and lots of places to see.
It surpasses our expectations and we are planning on returning to Lynn & Richard's cottage next summer.
We were all very Happy !
I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing stay, in a quiet place, with plenty to do...
Our family of 4 stayed here the last week of August. The house was more than we expected. While it looked small from the outside, there was a lot of room for us. The house was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with all of the things we needed to cook the fresh seafood we cooked every night. There was a fairly new bbq in the backyard that we used regularly also.
The owners gave us access to their bicycles and there were plenty of trails to ride in the area. The area beaches were nice. Access to the Martha's Vineyard ferries were close and we made full use of them.
The neighborhood is very quiet and there was plenty of shopping places nearby.
We definitely plan on staying here in the future.
Our family - 2 adults, 3 kids - fit comfortably and felt welcome to stretch out and relax. We had fun discovering all the little extras provided that made our stay smooth and easy. The home owners were readily accessible via email to answer any questions.
We enjoyed walks to the beach, bike rides, jogging on the pondside trail, time around the backyard fire pit, morning tea on the back deck, and a delightful binder chock full of menus and local info. Our teen boys were pleasantly surprised with the extensive library of DVDs. The outside shower was an added treat! The neighborhood is clean and quiet, the home close to downtown Falmouth, Woods Hole, and two ferries to Martha's Vineyard.
A wonderful and affordable beach rental - we highly recommend the Cape House!
The booking and payment process was very easy. Perfect for 2 couples. We walked to the beach every day looking for sea glass and shells. Loved the outdoor shower and decided I need to install one at my own home. We decided we need to return to spend more time at the beach, ride the provided bicycles and explore Falmouth more. The owners provided so much, like information about local restaurants and beaches, soap and sunscreen. They also offered us some extras as we were traveling all the way from the West coast. Staying here has given us such a positive impression of the Cape and we feel great knowing we have a great rental if we finally get a chance to return!
A few girlfriends and I made our first Cape visit for a friend's wedding in late September. This cottage far exceeded our expectations and was absolutely fabulous. Cute, cozy and very welcoming- we defiintely felt at home. Great common area for chatting over coffee (or wine) and even cooking homemade meals if you choose. The homeowners are amazing to work with and based on our experience, I'm most certain we will be visiting the Cape again very soon!!
